Lance Reddick is known for lending his voice to Destiny 2 by playing the pivotal character Zavala for years, and he has wished players happy holidays in character during a brief video. Celebrities are no strangers to the gaming industry as of late, with Norman Reedus playing the protagonist of Death Stranding, Cyberpunk 2077 revolving around Keanu Reeves, and the Destiny 2 roster including Lance Reddick, Joy Osmanski, and more popular actors.Taking to his Twitter account just two days after Christmas, Lance Reddick wished his community of over 188, 000 followers happy holidays as if he was in the studio to record voice lines for Destiny 2's Zavala. Although the character Zavala doesn't have similarly celebratory dialogue that triggers upon interacting with him at the Tower over the holidays, each new Destiny 2 season has its own Lance Reddick voice lines to appreciate intermittently. Bungie is also celebrating the 2022 holiday season in Destiny 2 with The Dawning event which runs until January 3 and offers players fresh content to explore and cosmetics to unlock through participating in the limited-time festivities.RELATED: Destiny 1 Now Runs on PC via EmulationResponding to a fan request for Lance Reddick to do a "holiday greeting" for Destiny 2 players, Reddick obliged by stating that "all things are possible with the Traveler," in reference to the omnipotent character from the Bungie FPS. Reddick then wished the many Guardians of Destiny 2 happy holidays for The Dawning and real-life events alike. Because it's unlikely that Reddick will be at Bungie HQ in time to share the same message as Zavala himself before 2022 is over, this Twitter video may be the only way that Destiny 2 fans can hear their favorite character break the fourth wall in such a way.

Though Lance Reddick's likeness isn't featured for Destiny 2's Zavala, his voice is unmistakable in the Twitter video for anyone that's unfamiliar with his work beyond the Bungie FPS. Lance Reddick is also in feature-length films such as John Wick and its sequels, Godzilla vs. King Kong, and One Night in Miami, while his voice is included in other games like Horizon Forbidden West, Quantum Break, and Payday 2. Remaining busy into 2023, Lance Reddick is also booked to act in Man of Fire, John Wick: Chapter 4, and Ballerina, while his voice will expectedly continue to be a major aspect of the Destiny 2 storyline.

Although players can acquire things like the Alpine Dash Sparrow, Starfarer 7M ship, or Stay Frosty Pulse Rifle through the Destiny 2 Dawning event, this voice line remains missing from the experience. Because Lance Reddick's holiday message was a response to fan demand, Bungie may find a way to include it or similar dialogue in a future update like The Dawning 2023.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
