Kirby and the Forgotten Land is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated titles to come from Nintendo, thanks in no short part to Kirby’s new Mouthful Mode. Nintendo has been consistently releasing excellent games from its first-party franchises since the launch of the Nintendo Switch, with games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Metroid Dread, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus dominating sales charts in this year alone.

And now, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is shaping up to be another addition to Nintendo’s stellar track record. The game sees Kirby arrive in a strange new world where he must save the Waddle Dees from a new group of enemies known as The Beast Pack. Other Kirby characters like Meta Knight will also be appearing to challenge the lovable puffball in his new adventure.

One of the new mechanics introduced in the game is Mouthful Mode, in which Kirby consumes many of the various equipment around him to use in a variety of ways. After this mechanic was introduced, it went viral online, leading to several memes surrounding Kirby’s ability to swallow any item in sight and use to his advantage. And with the popularity surrounding this mechanic, it would only be a matter of time until new fan made works came from this development.

YouTuber North of the Border, famous for creating various Nintendo and other video game characters from clay, took to creating a clay model version of Kirby’s Car Mode from Forgotten Land to impressive results. After he created the video showcasing this work of art, the artist went onto create more clay model figures of Kirby’s other Mouthful Mode abilities, such as a traffic cone, water ballon, light bulb, and more.

All of these creations are extremely impressive, with incredible detail put into each model, from having Kirby spit out water while in his ballon form, to creating intricately crafted soda cans that shoot out of Kirby’s vending machine form. Nintendo fans always have such attention to detail, such as when a fan crafted Link’s house from Breath of the Wild.

Overall, this is an incredible achievement from North of the Border, and only fuels more hype for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It will be interesting to see what this craftsman goes onto create next, and if there are any other abilities in Kirby and the Forgotten Land that they can create in the future.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land launches on March 25th for the Nintendo Switch.
