Fighting game aficionados have had quite a bit of content thus far to keep them entertained. Ranging from the addition of Mewtwo to Super Smash Bros. to the release of Mortal Kombat X, there's been no shortage of reasons to pick up a controller and fine-tune those dormant fighting game skills.

Of course, Microsoft has also been entertaining consumers by steadily releasing new fighters for the ongoing second season of Killer Instinct, and the company has just detailed the final fighter that'll be arriving in the very near future.

Wrapping up Season 2 of Killer Instinct is none other than the brains behind the evil corporation known as UltraTech, Aria. This enhanced A.I. has been behind the various creations that the nefarious company has been adding to the game's mythos all along, but her creations have seemingly failed – forcing her to go toe-to-toe with anyone that defies the program's greater goal.

Setting aside the whole "evolve or die" mentality that the bot carries with her, she's sure to bring joy to those that have been awaiting the final roster addition to the game. Those that currently have the Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition can look forward to the newcomer arriving on May 29, 2015, while those currently set up with the Combo Breaker Edition can anticipate a June 4, 2015 release.

Since Aria is fleshed out with a medley of high-tech weapons, it's not surprising to see that she has a devastating long-range game. That's not to count her out from close-range encounters either, as she can be seen pummelling foes with lightning speed. The new stage accompanying the character can also be seen during the trailer, and the ability to kick opponents out the window seems like an interesting stage hazard of sorts to say the least.

A fighting game that has a raptor, skeleton, ninja, alien, werewolf, golem, and robots squaring off against each other is certainly different, but the fighters that occupy Killer Instinct's roster help to make it special in the eyes of longtime fans. It's hard to say how challenging Aria will be to master, but her relevance to the game's story is certainly going to be impactful to say the least.
