Those looking forward to inFAMOUS: Second Son may be somewhat starved for details of late - besides the gameplay footage already shown - but now that Gamescom 2013 has arrived, Sony has turned to one of their most anticipated exclusives to get fans talking.

Besides releasing a brand new batch of screenshots showing new hero Delsin Rowe in combat against the oppressive forces of the DUP, the newest trailer introduces another main player in the game's events, and confirms that Delsin will be fighting with the power of neon.

There are likely to be some who have assumed that given the focus on Delsin's smoke/fire abilities seen in the marketing to this point, it would be the main set of superpowers around which the game would be built. But Delsin Rowe is not like previous Conduit Cole McGrath - Rowe's power is the ability to absorb the powers of other Conduits (like telling a genie your wish is for a thousand wishes).

To this point, fans have been kept in the dark on who the other Conduits set to appear in Second Son might be, simply saying that while fire and smoke will be Delsin's first power, they won't be his last. As the new trailer and screenshots show, Abigail Walker - known as 'Fetch' by friends - will be running into Delsin before too long. And the meeting will leave him a changed man.

Besides showing that a good distrust of authority figures isn't all Delsin Rowe and Cole McGrath have in common - although the trailer doesn't clarify whether Abigail's power relates to electricity, or neon specifically - the new video hints at several plot lines likely to shape the events of the game. While Delsin has been described as somewhat of a free spirit in the game's version of Seattle, Washington, Abigail Walker seems willing to make a stand against the forces of the DUP in much more... public ways.

That means conflict between Delsin and Abigail, not even considering the turmoil between he and his brother, Reggie. The trailer shows that Delsin is taking some responsibility over his fellow superpowered brothers and sisters, but where that plot will lead is anyone's guess. Could Delsin eventually lead an army of Conduits against their oppressors, or cause a rift within the community itself?

Hopefully the next set of assets will help shed light on those questions, not to mention hint at even more powers players can look forward to experimenting with. We'll keep you updates as more news arrives, but stay tuned to Game Rant for more coverage of Gamescom 2013.
