On the main site for Move there’s a section at the bottom displaying ‘PlayStation Move Featured’ games. inFamous 2 was visible in this section for a short period of time. At the time of this posting, the site has been updated and inFamous 2 removed from the listing. However, we do have a picture of what it did look like when the game was listed.
There it is! In between Time Crisis: Razing Storm and Socom 4: U.S. Navy SEALs you have inFamous 2. Let the speculation begin!
Sure, someone could’ve accidentally put the game in the PlayStation Move listing, and inFamous 2 could have no motion controls at all. Or this could be a preview of what’s to come. Developer Sucker Punch is hosting an event titled “inFamous 2: An Inside Glimpse into Creating the Superpowered Franchise” at PAX Prime 2010 this coming Friday. Perhaps more details will be revealed then.
We also still have the Tokyo Game Show in September, which coincides with the PlayStation Move release on the 19th in North America. Could Sony possibly announce Move support for inFamous 2 at TGS? We’ll just have to wait and see. At this point there has been no official word from the developers of the game or Sony regarding motion controls in inFamous 2.
We’re going to have quite a few big name titles featuring PlayStation Move support, including LittleBigPlanet 2, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition and Heavy Rain. Both RE: 5 and Heavy Rain I never picked up, however I am interested to see how they fare with motion controls. Also, the Move isn’t a peripheral that I’m itching to get, though if inFamous 2 is given the motion control treatment, I might change my mind.
Ranters, how would you feel about showing off Cole’s new moves with the PlayStation Move? Do you even care for motion controls at this point? Let’s us know in the comments.
PlayStation Move is scheduled for a September 19th release in North America, with inFamous 2 coming out sometime in 2011, exclusively for the PS3.
