As mentioned yesterday, the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards delivers unto us the latest Hitman: Absolution trailer, featuring non other than assassin extraordinaire, Agent 47 doing the only thing he was bred to do: Kill people in creative methods.
Hitman: Absolution repaints the franchise in a much different way, evidenced in the first cinematic trailer, painting Agent 47 as a much more physical killer this time around. In the first gameplay trailer, the master assassin also achieves a level of physicality in platforming and character animation. Obviously, it’s always exciting to see more footage for Hitman and the VGAs delivers it.
For a bit more insight into the gameplay, there is also the previous gameplay footage featuring commentary from game director Tore Blystad and gameplay director Christian Elverdam.
The trailer below is there for ocular consumption.
It’s very exciting to see Hitman take a much more action-friendly approach. No doubt, Silent Assassin pursuers will have no problems being professionals and only taking out the target at hand. However, knowing that 47 can survive gun fights much easier is a relief. In addition to being able to pick up random objects in the world to dispatch enemies, the larger game areas, and the powerful Glacier 2 engine, Hitman: Absolution will be a title to keep an eye on.
Hitman: Absolution releases in 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
