As soon as Loki ended with an epic finale, fans immediately started wondering when the next live-action MCU series would be hitting Disney Plus. As expected, one of the upcoming shows set to debut this year is Hawkeye and now comes confirmation of when the series will be hitting the Disney streaming platform.

Entertainment Weekly got an exclusive deep-dive into the much anticipated Marvel Studios series and revealed that Hawkeye is set to debut on Disney Plus on November 24, 2021. Along with that exciting news, they also debuted the first official image from the series showcasing a meeting between the two Hawkeyes – Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld).

Along included in the piece was a brief interview with Renner in which he talked about the relationship between Barton and Bishop in the show, in addition to hinting at some aspects of the story. Renner revealed that Bishop is a die-hard fan of Hawkeye and he describes her as having "a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her." He explains that their relationship grows from that point of her admiration for him but that Bishop will also be bringing a lot of trouble into Barton's life as a now-retired superhero.

Hawkeye will follow the same new release schedule as Loki with new episodes airing on Wednesdays following its premiere on November 24. The series is created by Jonathan Igla with all the episodes being directed by Rhys Thomas and the directing team of Bert and Bertie. Hawkeye will also star Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, and Florence Pugh reprising her recent role as Yelena from Black Widow.

This year has certainly been spoiling MCU fans with the endless content debuting. Ever since the premiere of WandaVision back in January, fans have barely had enough time to react to one Marvel project before another one is released. Now with the confirmation of the release date for Hawkeye, it's clear the spoiling will continue for the rest of the year. It does feel like Hawkeye will be a smaller scale project that might be lost in the shadow of such big stories as Loki. However, there is a lot to get excited about in the series. The return of Yelena is thrilling, especially after the enticing post-credit scene in Black Widow.

But the most exciting aspect is the introduction of Kate Bishop. She has been a fan-favorite character for years and Steinfeld feels like the perfect actor to bring this character to life in the MCU. It also hints that Renner's time in the MCU is likely coming to an end with this series serving as his farewell. While it will be sad to say goodbye to yet another original Avenger, it seems like the title of Hawkeye will be kept in good hands.

Hawkeye will debut on Disney Plus on November 24, 2021.
