It seems like it was only yesterday when Game Rant reported that there would be 3 different editions of Halo: Reach when it released this Fall, wait that was yesterday. Well, now we have an official confirmation from Bungie, as well as some pictures of the new Halo: Reach Limited Edition and Halo: Reach Legendary Edition.
The Halo: Reach Limited Edition set will be packaged in an ONI “black box” with exclusive in-game Elite battle armor, but wait, that’s not all! You will will also receive an “artifact bag”. The bag in question contains “Dr. Halsey’s personal journal and other classified documents and effects that unravel long held secrets from the Halo universe.” This edition of Halo: Reach will ring in at around $79.99.
Now, if you claim to be the biggest Halo fanboy of all time then this is the set for you. The Legendary Edition of Halo: Reach includes everything in the Limited Edition, and so much more. It comes packaged in UNSC box, and comes with an exclusive, limited edition, McFarland made, hand-painted, numbered statue of Noble Team. If you think that’s not bad-ass enough it gets better: you also get an in-game “exclusive multiplayer Spartan armor effect.” Now get ready for this, it’s the highly sought after flaming helmet! All of this is going to cost you though, roughly $149.99.

Wow, that one really freakin' awesome statue. And a damn flaming helmet!? Still insanely expensive, but at least Bungie has added some cool stuff.

I'm not going to lie, I've never really thought about dropping $149 for a game (The MW2 and Halo 3 bundes didn't intrigue me), but I think I might have to pick this up.
Sadly, I'll buy it day 1 knowing that 5-6 months later it'll be $80 at Best Buy or something (I've seen Halo 3 legendary editions for under $60 all over the place)
but do will they still have the falming helmet effect doubt it they will probly take it out or some s***
If you don’t get legendary asap then you can’t get the flaming helm or recon or in game elite armor even if you find legendary down the line the in game codes will have been used.
I'm a huge Halo fan but this stuff is a waste of money. You pay an extra $90 for a little toy and a booklet. I never buy special editions, with the exception of Halo Wars which was actually worth the extra money.
Actually, it’s not a little toy, it’s a hand painted statue that weight’s around 10 pounds, and the notes are good for anyone who read the books, it’s not a waste.
I agree man it is totally over priced, but I think it's bad-ass and I need it! Halo Wars was an unreal bundle, you got the Halo 3 maps months before they even came out!
Flame makes it too easy for head shots to happen, tactically impractical! While I'm not a huge fan of paying more than what I need to for a game, the Legendary set seems pretty cool, the figures do anyway. If I can just get the set and the game, I'd enjoy that pretty decently.
And most likely, as Will said, the set will decrease in price months after release, so I think I could wait for it.
I loved all the halo games i wanted to get the flamming helmit on h3 but my team mates suck. I love how that figure looks so im paying for that legendary edition halo reach

You don’t get the flaming with the regular special edition or recon trust me im the biggest fan of halo and did research on it so your S.O.L on the flaming and recon.
150 seems over priced an the helmet is like hey look at my head shoot here. but i would pay 80 for the extra elite armor an such jus cuz an extra 20$ for a decent elite armor for when you have no choice but to be elite ie. invasion.
dude im not gonna get lagendary it looks a little over pricy but ill definatley get limited cuz it gives the armor,the notes, and a wicked case

I’m gettin the new Reach x box it’s gonna kick ass even the sound it makes when u turn it on is awsome, it’s the sound of a regenerating shield
For those who think that just cause you get the plain special edition you think you get the recon helm and flaming effect you don’t you get the elite armor instead that is why I got me the Legendary Edition.
