Gamers across the globe are anticipating the release of several different games this Holiday season. Some are excited for the launch of the Wii U, while others can't wait to get their hands on Assassin's Creed 3. That being said, there's one platform exclusive in particular that'll be undeniably attractive to Xbox 360 owners, and that game is the much-anticipated Halo 4. 343 Industries is preparing to offer their first iteration of the Halo series to consumers this November, and they've released a bunch of new screenshots highlighting the three core modes of their title.

Fans will definitely want to check out the latest batch of images highlighting the Campaign, War Games, and Spartan Ops modes in Halo 4.

The screenshots really do a great job of highlighting the visual fidelity and atmosphere that 343 Industries has strived so hard to create, and they manage to keep spoilers to somewhat of a minimum. We now know that the Covenant will be the main enemies in the first mission, appropriately titled 'Dawn', while the Prometheans will be making their presence known before, or during, Chapter 3 — which has been labeled 'Forerunner'.

Alongside those few story-related details, fans can also check out the multiplayer maps Solace and Exile. Solace is the latest multiplayer map being put on display in this gallery, and it looks to bring a rather solid, yet different, addition to the chaotic War Games mode. Exile, on the other hand, was revealed during PAX 2012, so it's content that gamers already knew they'd be receiving.

Accompanying the War Games pics are some screenshots of Episode 1 and 2 of the Spartan Ops campaign. The first episode, called 'Land Grab', will take place in a Covenant-infested desert that's littered with massive rocks and forerunner technology. It's not clear based on the action-packed stills what the purpose of the Spartan squad's mission is, but it's safe to say that fans can't wait to find out.

Halo 4 launches on November 6th, exclusively for Xbox 360.
