Rockstar Games unveils the Grand Theft Auto Online: Executives and Other Criminals update, which allows players to hire bodyguards and buy a 'Super Yacht'.

Grand Theft Auto Online players may have felt like they've hit the jackpot recently, as Rockstar Games has been adding tons of new, free content to the online multiplayer mode. Just days ago, GTA Online players were treated to a new Adversary Mode called 'Every Bullet Counts', challenging them to use their ammo sparingly, and the developer recently added new car customization options with the GTA Online lowriders update too. This isn't the only thing that Rockstar has been cooking up, though, as the company has now announced the huge GTA Online: Executive and Other Criminals expansion.

This free GTA Online update is a serious content drop as it features "all new gameplay modes and opportunities for luxury living." Rockstar explains that "VIP’s who run their own operation" will have access to new co-op jobs, challenges and special abilities in Freemode, and they'll also be able to hire (and fire) other players as their bodyguards. As well as just being an effective way to put together a crew (and let everybody know who the head honcho is), bodyguards will earn a "regular paycheck" as well as getting extra RP, GTA$, and stat boosts for their efforts.

The real excitement, however, is when organizations go head to head. The new Extraction Adversary Mode challenges bodyguards to find an executive after their jet crashes, and then "safely extract" them. Meanwhile, there will be a hit squad trying to swoop in and kill them. Rockstar also says that some existing game modes will "automatically adapt when played by organizations," and though only King of the Castle and Moving Target have been confirmed so far, other modes such as the American-football themed 'Running Back' mode would surely be suitable as well.

Making the bodyguards' jobs somewhat easier are all of the new vehicles. In addition to the huge (and "fully staffed") Super Yacht, which comes equipped with a boat, a helipad and an anti-air missile launcher, there are also super speedy vehicles such as the Imponte Nightshade and the Bravado Verlierer. There's also the Benefactor Turreted Limo, which has upgraded armor and a minigun turret. That lethal limo may not prove as deadly as the Hulk or as a somersaulting tank, but it should certainly come in handy nonetheless.

Also giving GTA Online players a chance to splash their cash are the new apartments, which are located in the very swanky Vinewood. The update will also include new weapons, but Rockstar has yet to reveal property prices or info about this weaponry. More information should be released before the update hits next week.
