File this one under rumor for the time-being, but Dutch website PS3Clan is making the claim that since Take Two officially has a spot at this year’s E3 that we will see the formal announcement of Grand Theft Auto V. It is certainly a possibility, but I usually like a little more Tabasco with my eggs, as they say. If an announcement is coming, E3 is easily the most hyped up place to do it, and since it seems Rockstar has wrapped up the DLC plans for GTAIV, their fans are definitely ripe for some new GTA-related news.
As someone who has love and respect for this series, I can only say, “bring it on.” I never did finish GTAIV, but I had a great time while playing it. Rockstar makes some quality games, and we all know the next installment of this series is coming. The only question is–when?

Vice City is Holiday 2010 or mid year 2011. San Andreas is 2012 or 2013. GTA V is like 2014 or 2015 when the PS4 and new Xbox are out.

GTA:IV being set in New York does not mean that the next GTA will be set in Vice City because it was the next GTA after III. Your the idiot.

Yea, you didn't know any of that, did you? GTA 1 was LC, VC, SF too. Guess what? the first VC had “Bogota” which was NOT in the second vice city. Rockstar registered that name at the SAME TIME they registered Sin City (LV) and IV (LC).

Did you read what I said???? I never said that the next game wasn't going to be in a Miami setting because it probably will be. I simply said they aren't going to make GTA games in the exact order they came out. And who is to say they wont call it Grand Theft Auto V you idiot. They made the last game off of Liberty City but they called it IV, so there is a good chance they will call it GTA V. Try to get an understanding of what people are saying before you go flaming them, its what intelligent people do.
no, see, that's where you still are looking stupid dude… III was Liberty, VC, SA. All three games make ONE TRILOGY for last generation.
IV is LC, and the next games. V will be the NEXT GENERATION. Remember when they said “Oh, IV is built to last” it's because just like RW carried them from III to SA before going to custom engines for PSP stories and IV, IV will carry them to V, which will be a DIFFERENT look and feel than IV.
The NEXT gta games will come with some improvements, but they will basically be IV + features, not V.
I understand the press “calls” it V, but they called SA V too, why? Because they don't really know the game… If the next game was V, it would be NYC again. It won't be NYC again until Miami and the West Coast get the media-sucks-treatment (GTA is about american media, those locations are the HOMES of american media, eh
) Hence, basically, at least one more game (miami) before V, most likely SA even comes before V, but if it doesn't, V will be San and you won't see V until you have been in Little Bogota, Vice City in IV engine first
