Grand Theft Auto 5 Easter Egg Underwater Spaceship

Over four months after Grand Theft Auto 5's release on PS3 and Xbox 360, we still haven't heard any official confirmation or time frame for a much-desired PC port. While rumors and potential evidence of a PC version continue to leak out on a weekly basis, console gamers are still finding new ways to wreak havoc on the streets of Los Santos.

After the bug that allowed GTA Online players to fly to the snowy town of North Yankton, we thought we had seen the last impressive GTA 5 exploit until PC gamers got their hands on the code. Turns out, a mod for the PS3 version is also able to throw some shockingly inclement weather at players.

Although modding is most frequently associated with PC gamers, a resourceful PS3 modder, 'Bushigan,' has found a way to cause a major storm in the usually sunny setting of GTA 5. Have a look...

Unfortunately, you will need a modded PS3 to try this trick at home. If you happen to own a modded version of the Sony console, setting up the disaster scenario is apparently as simple as just moving a few files around. Thanks to Los Santos' readily available supply of wetsuits, scuba gear, and submarines; players that turn the state into a water-covered wasteland have plenty of resources for getting around and exploring the aftermath of the great storm.

If modding your PS3 goes against your consumer moral code (or sounds like too much work), we recommend you still take a few minutes to see how the the fictional coastal state looks underwater anyway:

We've now seen modders and glitch-hunters find/create a snowstorm and a tsunami in and around Los Santos, but still look forward to finding out what natural disaster is unlocked with the next round of mods. Tornadoes, perhaps maybe?

Hopefully, a PC version of GTA 5 will be announced sooner than later and non-console gamers (and modders) can start getting in on the fun. The petition full of PC gamers' signatures asking for a port continues to grow everyday, proving that there is clearly a market for the Rockstar game to make the jump to computers.

What kind of mods are you hoping to see once the game eventually finds its way onto PC? Sound off in the comments.
