A Grand Theft Auto 5 fan mashes up Rockstar Games' open world title and Star Wars in one of the best ways possible, by pitting Trevor versus Michael in a lightsaber duel.

As if it needed to be said, Star Wars is more than likely the most well-known pop culture phenomenon mankind has ever encountered. Bearing that in mind, it makes sense that a fan has now created a mashup of the seminal sci-fi series with Grand Theft Auto 5, the most recent entry in arguably one of the video game world's most popular and recognizable franchises of all time.

Uploaded by YouTuber Boris the Blade — known to some as Boris the Bullet Dodger — the Grand Theft Auto 5 clip pits Darth Trevor against Obi Michael Kenobi, as the two spar with Star Wars lightsabers, all while trading lewd gestures and verbal barbs. Plus, if anyone ever wondered whether a Sith Lord could shoot electricity out of their middle finger while flipping the bird, the Rockstar Editor-generated video below should lay that notion to rest.

While the video below is definitely quite humorous, it's merely the latest entry in a long line of fan-created mashup mods for GTA 5. In fact, just recently, one player decided it would be a good idea to cobble together a parody of the Teletubbies TV show intro using characters from the game, which led to some impressive, albeit unsettling results.

However, there have been a few mashup mods made by folks that have not only been accurate to the source material, but also retain the ability stand on their own as solid pieces of artwork. For instance, the re-imagined True Detective trailer done a couple of months ago was decidedly stirring.

Considering the persistent glut of Grand Theft Auto 5 mods, mock-ups, and pop culture lampoons, it's obvious that the popularity for Rockstar Games' open world title continues to thrive. After all, the studio has reported that the release's multiplayer component is flourishing, especially now that the online mode recently received an update with new Freemode Events.

With players continuing to flock toward all things Grand Theft Auto 5, we'll more than likely see plenty more user-generated materials related to the game for many days to come. And should the developers at Rockstar Games ever get around to completing the title's story DLC, GTA 5's popularity and longevity would only increase, as it would surely become solidified as one of the most replayable and content-rich games to ever exist.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
