Cara Delevingne to voice DJ of Non-Stop-Pop FM in Grand Theft Auto 5

Driving irresponsibly fast in a stolen vehicle just isn't the same without some really good tunes to listen to, which is why the Grand Theft Auto series has always had a lot of work put into its radio stations. From the DJs to the talk shows to the diverse range of music genres, the radio stations of Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas play a key role in making these settings feel alive.

GTA fans were recently given early peek behind the curtain when a PSN pre-load for Grand Theft Auto V accidentally leaked a massive list of tracks that would be included on various radio stations in the game. Featuring songs from The Doobie Brothers, Black Flag, N.W.A. and many, many more, the track list had some Ranters excited and others disappointed by a lack of songs in their favorite genre. If you were part of the latter group, then you may be reassured to know that the list did not include all of the songs that will be available in the game.

Once the song list had been leaked, Rockstar elected to drop the secrecy and offer official previews of some of the radio stations that will be available in GTA V. Following on from the reveal that model and actress Cara Delevingne (pictured above) will be lending her voice talents to the game as the DJ of Non-Stop-Pop FM, Rockstar posted excerpts from 5 different in-game radio stations, along with the fantastic electro track "Sleepwalking" by The Chain Gang of 1974, which accompanied the most recent trailer.

Featured below are excerpts from Latin music station East Los FM, hip-hop from FlyLo FM and West Coast Classics, some country and rock 'n' roll tracks on Rebel Radio, and the rock and punk tracks of Vinewood Boulevard Radio. Press play, close your eyes and imagine you're listening to these tunes from behind the wheel of your next favorite GTA vehicle (note: actually driving with your eyes closed is not recommended).

The previews also offer a first introduction to some of the Los Santos DJs, including DJ Pooh on West Coast Classics and Rebel Radio's Nate and Steve. The game will feature over 240 licensed tracks, including original and exclusive songs from Flying Lotus and Odd Future's Tyler the Creator. There will be 15 music stations  two talk show stations in total, so the snippets above and the track list that was leaked are only a fraction of what will be on offer in GTA V.

As if all that wasn't enough, GTA V will also feature over 20 hours of original score composed by Tangerine Dream in collaboration with Woody Jackson (Red Dead Redemption) and, to help Los Santos better match the feel of the city upon which it is based, L.A. hip-hop producers Alchemist and Oh No.

Check out these radio station previews and then answer this tricky question: out of all the Grand Theft Auto games so far, which has been your favorite song to listen to whilst driving? Personally speaking, it's hard to beat a Vice City police chase with "I Ran So Far Away" by A Flock of Seagulls.

Grand Theft Auto 5 releases September 17, 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
