The remake of GoldenEye 007 for the Wii and DS was announced at this year's E3, and we've sporadically been given details since.

At E3, Activision unveiled a trailer for GoldenEye 007 and one of our writers got some hands-on with the title.

We also learned that there will be a special edition of GoldenEye 007, bundled with a gold colored Classic Wii controller, you know, to match your gold pistol.

Last month, we were informed that there are redesigned multiplayer levels along with new maps, and more details were revealed in the form of screens and a multiplayer trailer.

Fast forward to last week where we got an updated multiplayer trailer, and now this week we were graced with the skinny on multiplayer modifiers.

Check out the modifiers trailer below:

The nostalgia continues, as the multiplayer modifiers are plentiful in GoldenEye 007. There are three standard modes and a total of 17 modifiers, allowing up to 200 different combinations of multiplayer mayhem. The modes seen in the trailer are as follows:

  • Time Limit
  • Score Limit
  • Radar On/Off
  • Radar Dots Always Visible
  • Hot Shot
  • Melee Only
  • Paintball
  • Singularity
  • Nick Nack
  • Move Your Feet
  • Revenge
  • Rubber Grenandes
  • Sticky Grenades
  • Tag
  • Invisibility

Depending on what counts as a standard mode and which ones are part of the 17 modifiers, we are still missing a couple. Either way, there are definitely a healthy amount of combinations to keep it interesting for a good while.

The call-back to the original N64 title will make the game easy to jump into as our memories will recollect the good times that were had, taking each other out with proximity mines, sneaking around with silenced weapons and causing chaos with rockets. I'm excited to revisit GoldenEye 007 in it's revised form, mainly for the multiplayer experience we all know and love.

GoldenEye 007 is on a mission from Activision and Eurocom to hit shelves November 2nd, 2010, exclusively for the Wii and DS.
