Sony has finally announced the release date for the PSP's upcoming game God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Mark your calendars for November 2nd because this is in fact the day that you can finally get your hands on the second Kratos filled romp on the PSP. Along with God of War: Ghost of Sparta release details Sony has announced the bonuses that come when you pre-order the title.

The pre-order bonus revealed has been given the name The Ultimate DLC Pack, which is certainly an exaggeration. Still, there are a ton of extras that make this DLC pack one of the best I've seen so far.

The God of War: Ghost of Sparta pre-order consists of the following:

  • The Official God of War: Ghost of Sparta Original Soundtrack
  • God of War: Ghost of Sparta PSP Theme
  • Ghost of Sparta PS3 Dynamic Theme - Fully animated in constant motion
  • Ghost of Sparta PlayStation Network Avatar
  • Legionnaire Skin - Discover the origins of the Spartan warrior as you experience God of War: Ghost of Sparta as Legionnaire Kratos.
  • Exclusive Game Directors Documentary - A full length featured video roundtable with all of the past and present Game Directors for the God of War franchise in front of a live studio audience, including: David Jaffe, Cory Barlog, Stig Asmussen, Ru Weerasuiya and Dana Jan

Not too shabby I suppose, and it is way better than the Halo: Reach pre-order bonus that was announced a few weeks ago. Personally, I don't tend to watch the documentary bonuses, but I know that there is a crowd amongst our readers who marvel in some of the interviews and a brief history on the development cycle. However, it is a pretty solid pre-order bonus for any fans of the franchise who want the "complete experience" plus some additional content.

The Ultimate DLC Pack is only available at participating retailers, so be sure to ask what the store is offering before you throw down your $5. You can reserve your copy of God of War: Ghost of Sparta starting right now, and you can look forward to receiving it on November 2nd only on PSP.

Do you think God of War: Ghost of Sparta will be a must-own for the PSP? What do you think of the pre-order bonus?
