Game Ranter Banter: 007 Legends, God of War, Pokemon & Another Mass Effect 3 Ending Opinion
This week saw some interesting developments on the news front: God of War: Ascension, the game we all knew was coming was revealed. Crysis 3, the game we all knew was coming, was revealed. Dead Space 3, the game we all knew was coming... wasn't revealed. Well, 2 out of 3 isn't bad, and at least we have the Game Ranter Banter to make up for it.
This week, our writers disuss the recently revealed God of War prequel, new 3DS exclusive features for Pokemon Black & White 2, the Ubisoft/Assassin's Creed 3 lawsuit, and lastly, another one of our writers opens up on the controversial Mass Effect 3 ending.
ok,here is what is wrong with this picture on this new james bond games coming out, whoever the idiot is that can’t count at all is wrong on how many different people who have played and portrayed james bond. in actuallity there are 8 people who have played the charter and the first one starting in the year 1954 with the mans name as being Barry Nelson in the original Casino Royale, the same person years later who was in the first airport movie, and also the bad guy was peter lorre. now this was a made for TV bond, but he is still the very first James Bond 007. the other one that was missed is Sir David Niven which alsl played James Bond 007 in the 1967 version of Casino Royale. So if you ever want to notice the things that went on in the remake of these films with danielle craig, then watch those 2 first and you will see how much they did remake of the 2 original james bond TV and movie version of yesteryear. So stick it your ear Activision for not giving all the right info.Dumbasses
Those earlier Casino Royale films are parodies of Bond. I hardly consider them Bond actors. While we’re at that why don’t we consider Woody Allen as James Bond too.
The other actors/movies you spoke of were not released by Eon productions and are therefore not official movies in the James Bond franchise. Only those made by MGM Grand/UA/ Sony Pictures are movies. However “Never Say Never Again,” which was a remake of Thunderball is a semi-official Bond movie because that Ian Fleming book was co-authored by Kevin Mcclory and in order to maintain the copyright, it was remade in 1983 and also starred Sir Sean Connery.
Ok, this better be the last time the Mass Effect 3 ending is talked about in a Game Ranter Banter. Seriously, it has been talked about in every single one since the first players beat the game and voiced their hatred for the ending. WE GET IT. YOU GUYS HAVE COVERED ALL THE ANGLES. STOP IT.
On another note, I agree with Anthony Taormina when he said, “…the fact that fans took to the Amazon listing for Link to down vote the book paints gamers as petty immature “activists.” Gamers, that is just low. Even if John Beiswenger wins the case and gets some money, it’s not going to affect Assassin’s Creed III at all. Don’t down vote a book that’s probably good just because the author of it filed a lawsuit against your favorite video game franchise’s publisher. Do you know how utterly lame that sounds? “hay, sum auther ive never herd of filed a lawsoot agenst my favrit game franchize, my life iz over now.” Bunch of unhealthily obsessed crybabies.
The point of the banter is to allow writers to write about anything they want in a personalized way. Not going to restrict their thoughts on a certain game if they played it late. Sorry.
We readers can still try to tell them to stop talking about the same exact topic for a month and a half. It’s like when Michael Jackson died. Press coverage was nonstop for a solid month, gradually tapering off. We all got sick and tired of it. We can’t stop journalists from writing about something, but we can let them know that they’re overdoing it.
I enjoy reading well-articulated reactions to the ME3 ending. When I finished it I felt the overwhelming need to talk about it. It’s been weeks now and I have not replayed this Mass Effect; despite having replayed ME2 quite a bit.
I too find the alleged post by Weekes to be very telling and far too logical as an explanation for what we saw to be untrue.
