Ghost Recon Future Soldier New Screenshots

The future of the battlefield is changing. Scientists and outfits like DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) are working on a whole variety of methods to ensure that the soldiers on the battlefield are the most advanced and technologically capable they can be. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier takes that to the next level, presenting the potential of what the soldiers of tomorrow can be capable of, and these new screenshots give a glimpse of what that could look like.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier marks the return of the shrouded fictional military unit that fans have been waiting for since 2007 and Ubisoft has been working to ensure the return of the franchise will be top notch and incredibly fun. At least, that's what we expect after multiple delays of the game.

The multiplayer behind-the-scenes video Ubisoft just released showcases an increase of pace and new gameplay variety Future Soldier is aiming for while still retaining the strategic and planning elements the series is known for. During E3 2011, we also had some delicious hands-on time with the game and left happy.

The new screenshots below portray a variety of things: The Ghost Recon team in action, various locations, objectives at those locations, and some of the augmented reality HUD that will be a big part of the latest Ghost Recon installment and the one that pushes players the furthest into the future.

Graphically impressive on both detail and scale, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be one of the more visually impressive games of 2012. Mission-wise, Future Soldier places the squad in much more high-stress situations, most likely stemming from a somewhat complicated story that requires the scalpel's edge of the armed forces. Unfortunately, no details regarding the story have emerged quite yet, but this will change as the release date edges closer and closer.

Luckily, there will be a multiplayer beta coming up in January, providing players ample time to get prepared and excited for the final release. Perhaps Future Soldier will become the tactical shooter to beat come 2012.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier releases March 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U.
