Genshin Impact has a very tight update schedule and each new update arrives six to seven weeks. Those updates usually include new characters that can be obtainable for a limited time. Once a limited banner leaves, the only way to aquire that character is to wait for their banner re-run which can take months.

New character additions Genshin Impact help to create additional hype for each new update as they are one of the game's main draws. Even though Version 2.3 arrived a couple of days ago, multiple leaks have already revealed information about version 2.4. Further, the official Genshin Impact social media accounts have already revealed Shenhe and Yun Jin, two new polearm characters.

A recent post on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has revealed new information about this unique character. Apparently, Ayato will have short blue hair, which makes sense since his sister Ayaka has a similar hair color. The Reddit thread claims that Ayato might have a resemblance to Otto from the game Honkai Impact. Both of them share the same Japanese and Chinese voice actor. Further on the thread claims that Ayato will have a white coat similar to the three admirals in the popular anime One Piece.

Previous leaks have been hinting that Ayato will be a Hydro character, which could mean that he could have great synergy with his sister Ayaka, who is one of the most unique Genshin Impact characters. Just like his sister, Ayato is expected to be a sword user which would make him the second Hydro sword character after Xingqiu. When it comes to his release date, another Genshin Impact leaker has revealed that he could arrive with update 2.6 which according to miHoYo's usual update schedule will arrive around April 10, 2022.

He will most likely be a new five-star character arriving after update 2.5 which will feature the fan-favorite character Yae Miko. Ayato fans have been bursting with joy over the past couple of days as the new Arataki Itto character teased included a couple of Ayato's voice lines. This is usually the way miHoYo announces that a new character will become playable in the foreseeable future.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and a Nintendo Switch version in development.
