According to a Genshin Impact leaker, players can look forward to the highly-anticipated character Ayaka releasing in a Banner early next year.

Rare five-star characters are the main draw of miHoYo's gacha game, which has helped lead Genshin Impact to earn nearly $400 million on mobile devices alone in just two months. One five-star that many Genshin Impact players have had their eyes on since she was seen in footage back in 2019 is Kamisato Ayaka. Ayaka has a Cryo Vision, wields a sword, and currently is the only playable character from the region of Inazuma that has been unveiled.

Fans have been wondering when Ayaka would be released, but according to NEP NEP, called Genshin Impact Leaks on Twitter, her final release is still a few months out. Fortunately, this should give many fans time to save up their Primogems before she has a dedicated Character Banner.

According to NEP NEP, players can expect Ayaka to be featured on her own rate-up Banner with the Version 1.4 update to Genshin Impact. Though MiHoYo has not stated the exact release dates for 1.3 and beyond, based on the six-week window of each version update so far, Version 1.4 may land in mid-March. NEP NEP claims Ayaka's Banner will come on March 17, 2021.

What this alleged leak also reveals is when the region Inazuma will likely release. Developer miHoYo previously mapped out which regions would correlate with which Acts of Genshin Impact, for example the Prologue is set in Mondstadt and Act 1 is set in Liyue. Inazuma is coming up in Act 2, featuring Electro as its main Element. This means that the map could possibly expand to Inazuma with Version 1.4 in March, and miHoYo could have much more content planned before then such as Xiao's storyline and the Lantern Rite festival.

Also in NEP NEP's datamine is an upcoming four-star character named Mimi, who should be releasing alongside Ayaka's Banner. Mimi was previously datamined by a Redditor, claiming that she is a Hydro Catalyst user also from Inazuma. Her style looks to keep with the same overall cohesive design of Inazuma, which is based on Japan.

As always, it's important to take leaked information with a grain of salt, both in terms of its legitimacy and because miHoYo has previously stated that this can cause the direction of the game to change. While miHoYo looks to be taking Genshin Impact leakers seriously, having already hit two leakers with legal action, this doesn't seem to be stopping NEP NEP from posting alleged upcoming information about the game.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
