As players progress through Genshin Impact's massive open world, they will find that the majority of their time will be dedicated to exploration and puzzle-solving. While the majority of the puzzles that Genshin Impact players will encounter are relatively simple elemental-based puzzles, there are several that may prove challenging due to the multiple steps involved.
When players arrive in the Dunyu Ruins, they will notice that much of the area is inaccessible because it is submerged by water. However, players with a keen eye may notice that underneath the water surface is a glowing circular structure that can be accessed by solving the puzzle in the ruins.
To begin the puzzle, head to the ruins north of the body of water and locate the geo totem on the second floor of the structure. Upon reaching the geo totem, players will notice that they are temporarily unable to interact with it.
To unlock the totem, players must light four torches in the vicinity with any pyro character. The first torch is located immediately next to the totem and cannot be missed. Players will find the second torch directly underneath the geo totem up a small staircase and through a doorway. The third torch can be found on a pillar above the geo totem facing to the west. The final torch can be found on a piece of rubble almost submerged in the water to the west.
Once players have lit all four torches they can then return to the geo totem and interact with it by using a geo character's skill or elemental burst to activate it. After the totem is activated, a brief cutscene will play out that will drain all of the water in the area.
Players will notice a luxurious chest at the bottom of the ruins, however, it cannot be accessed due to an Anemo barrier that is blocking off the platform. To remove the barrier, players must now find three Seelies and return them to that location.
The first Seelie can be found directly west of the ruins across the lake on the map. At the location, players must interact with a red challenge pillar that will spawn a series of hydro slimes that they must defeat in 60 seconds. Once the slimes have been defeated the gate adjacent to the challenge pillar will lower revealing a Seelie inside that can be accessed by climbing through the second-floor window.
The second Seelie is located up the steps directly east of the Anemo barrier. There, players will find a ruin guard that they must defeat before accessing the Seelie directly left of its location.
The final Seelie can be found next to the geo totems location. Once players have returned all of the Seelies to the center, the barrier will deactivate allowing them to access the luxurious chest.
