Genshin Impact characters Kamisato Ayato and Yae Miko have been mentioned through multiple leaks in the last couple of months. Yae Miko has quickly become of the most popular characters since her appearance in two update previews. She is rumored to be one of the strongest DPS characters in Genshin Impact, on par with Ayaka, Hu Tao, and Ganyu. When it comes to her weapon type, there is currently are no credible leaks or official information. However, the design of the characters heavily indicates that she will use the Electro vision, which is pretty common for Inazuma characters. These rumors should be taken with a grain of salt since Tangzhu revealed that her stats are not ready yet.

The only confirmed information about Ayato is that he is the head of the Kamisato clan. Previous leaks have been hinting that he will be a Hydro character meaning that he could have great synergy with his sister Ayaka who has a unique playstyle. Ayato is expected to be a sword user, which would make him the second Hydro sword character after Xingqiu. Ayato fans were filled with excitement as the recent character teaser for Arataki Itto included a couple of Ayato's voice lines. This is usually the way miHoYo announces that a new character will become playable in the foreseeable future.

Both Ayato and Yae Miko are expected to be two five-star characters. This means that update 2.5 will not include any banner re-runs which have become pretty common in recent updates. MiHoYo has introduced an interesting pattern of combining a new character with a double banner re-run for the two update cycles.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and a Nintendo Switch version in development.
