Has it been too long since you brutally ended someone’s existence with the chainsaw end of a machine gun? Then, perhaps, this year’s E3 may just be what you’ve been waiting for, where there is a very real chance that Gears of War 3 will get a formal announcement. Speaking briefly with VentureBeat at the recent Interactive Achievement Awards, Epic Games’ Mike Capps dropped a little tidbit of information for those of us with our ears pressed firmly to the ground.
When asked about the possibility of a new game coming, Capps replied:
“I think E3 is going to be really exciting for fans of Epic.”
Well, there you go. Let the speculation begin! This could obviously be little more than an offhand response to quick final question, but there seems to really be a little bit of excitement coming through Capps’ expression and tone of voice when asked. It’s been about sixteen months since the release of Gears of War 2, so the timing is certainly right. And E3 is definitely the stage for such an announcement.
We know fans of the Xbox 360-exclusive series will certainly be waiting with fingers crossed.

they haven't even sorted out the second ones problems it had with the multiplayer yet i dont think they should bring out another gears till the next gen of consoles considering gears 1 is still really popular online as is gears 2. i love gears but i think a 3rd this soon is pushing it a bit
new consoles aren't coming out for another 5-7 years. you wanna wait that long??
