Gears of War Judgment Call To Arms

Despite a tough month of sales for Gears of War: Judgment, Baird and the rest of his crew are soldiering on into their next batch of downloadable content. After Maxim's surprise free map pack, Gears of War: Judgment is finally set to get an official DLC package titled Call To Arms, which is coming out later this month for both VIP Season Pass and regular gamers alike.

Featuring three new multiplayer maps (including the return of Gears of War 3's Blood Drive, in a less-damaged state), Call To Arms will give Judgment's limited map offerings a much-needed boost. It'll also introduce a brand new 'Master At Arms' Game Mode and 6 new weapon and armor skins to those who purchase the package. Of course, new DLC also brings in new achievements: Call To Arms will offer gamers 250 GP spread over 10 new unlockable achievements, though they haven't been revealed yet.

Master At Arms is just People Can Fly's way of saying 'gun game', as players will win by getting a kill with each of the 20 weapons included in Judgment. As soon as a successful kill with one weapon is achieved, players will automatically be equipped with the next weapon in line. Of course, melee and grenade kills won't count. Introducing this kind of game type into a game with weapons like Boomshots and 'down-but-no-out' kill-stealing gameplay is sure to introduce a chaotic and hectic time - which sounds like a solid amount of fun.

Without further ado, gamers can take a quick look at the new maps below:

The three new maps are titled Terminal, Blood Drive and Boneyard. During the invasion of Halvo Bay, the 'Terminal' map was supposedly host to hordes of evacuating civilians and COG personnel  who were massacred and ambushed by locust forces taking advantage of the close-combat situation. The aptly titled Blood Drive map shows the scene where civilians donated blood at memorial hospitals, though the map area itself succumbed to being a battleground rather than a blood-giver. Lastly, the Boneyard shows what became of memorial grounds as time ran out to bury the bodies - the dead will litter the ground, and some of the living are sure to join them as combat commences.

Those who already own Judgment's VIP Season Pass will be able to pick up the Map Pack early on April 23rd, paying 750 MSP for the package instead of the full 1000. Those without the VIP Pass will be able to pick it up a week later on April 30th.
