At midnight tonight, stores across the world will open their doors and begin selling the much anticipated Xbox 360-exclusive Gears of War 3 to the masses. While much of the game’s content (and even the game’s campaign) has been leaked onto the internet, many fans are still wondering what all of the multiplayer unlocks will be. Luckily, that information has been leaked too, as we’ve found several different videos that show off all of the unlockable multiplayer characters and weapons skins that are available for your amusement in Gears of War 3.
Most of the in-game skins featured in the videos are ones that gamers will have to pay to unlock, but some of the content was made available by Epic Games for those willing to put in the extra effort. There is also a larger amount of characters to choose from this time around, with even more becoming available via expensive DLC in the near future.

That’s certainly a lot of different options that will help gamers in their quest to have the most unique Gear/Locust. Let me also be the first to say that, Marcus Fenix without his signature skull cap bandana just looks bizarre, and we demand that we never have lay witness to such an atrocity ever again.
Gears of War 3 looks to be the biggest and best game in the series thus far (if you don’t believe me then check out our review of Gears 3), and the addition of unlockable character and weapons skins makes levelling your character up more compelling than previous instalments.
There will be even more characters and weapon skins available this November when Gears 3‘s first batch of downloadable content launches, so you better get busy unlocking all of the in-game ones as soon as you get your hands on the title.

The extra maps I can kinda understand. Only way I’d care about the character skins is if the character itself offered some kind of perk. Like ATG said, I’m only in it for the campaign and co-op/horde mode. I’m not much of a multiplayer person anyway.

So will you have to pay to get different characters like mechanic Baird?
it depends on where they pre-ordered it (ie gamestop commando Dom and best buy mechanic Baird), the only skin it comes with is adam fenix, so yea he’ll have to pay for the rest
