Blur’s Social Gameplay Trailer

Just a few short days ago, Activision announced Blur’s Twitter integration.  Now, Lead Designer Gareth Wilson and members of his team at Bizarre Creations have put together a new video detailing even more of Blur’s social gameplay.

This new clip takes a close look at Blur’s four player split-screen mode (which, judging by the footage, is running super smoothly).  The extensive customization options available for each event are also examined.  Have a look:

Just Cause 2 Demo Details and New Trailer

Details and videos for Avalanche Studios’ upcoming title, Just Cause 2, keep pouring in.  Today we received information detailing the game’s demo, which I have included for your reading pleasure.

Available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC from March 4th, 2010, the Just Cause 2 demo will feature a massive 35 square miles of the Lautan Lama Desert, a vast expanse of stunning, sun-scorched scenery taking up just one of the many islands in the 400 square miles of the Panau archipelago. Packed with towns, villages, military installations, mountain ranges, missions and more, the demo will feature an astonishing amount of activities for the player… and opportunities for adrenaline-fuelled chaos are limitless.

Hunt down and assassinate one of the game’s 50 military colonels; devastate military bases, bio fuel chambers, government infrastructure and more; hijack tuk tuks, military 4x4s, armored vehicles, mopeds, helicopter gunships, light aircraft, mini vans and numerous other military and civilian vehicles; freefall from desert outcrops or from burning planes at 20,000 feet; and unlock one full, multi-stage mission, traversing the mountains to a heavily fortified government radar station and ending in an unforgettable desert car chase.

The Just Cause 2 demo will be available March 4th, 2010, on PlayStation®Network, Xbox LIVE® Marketplace and Steam.

Also included in the release was their newest trailer, titled “Mid-Air Sabotage,” which features something that no human would ever attempt in real life.  But that is precisely the reason I’m excited about this game.

Just Cause 2 sabotages store shelves March 23, 2010 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC

New Super Mario Galaxy 2 Trailer Released

And no, that isn’t ‘New Super Mario Galaxy 2‘ – That’s due for release in 2040.

Following yesterday’s release date announcement, here at Game Rant, we realize that you probably want to see more of Super Mario Galaxy 2. Well, look no further dear reader, because we’ve got the brand new trailer for your viewing pleasure.

Thematically, the first half of the trailer appears to be very similar to the first Super Mario Galaxy – a title which, admittedly, I wasn’t too fond of. Heck, they even re-use the same robot-boss that was in the first title. My first thoughts were; do Nintendo not care that they’re rehashing the same game? Will they really force the Nintendo faithful to buy the same game again?

Just Cause 2: Firetruck vs. Jet Trailer

It seems like with every week comes a fun new trailer for Just Cause 2.  This one, as you may have guessed, displays yet another stunt that you can do in the game.  It features a jet airliner and a firetruck in a friendly game of chicken, on an airstrip.

I’ve personally enjoyed all the trailers so far, and liked this one as well.  The game seems like a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to messing around in the game world doing whatever I want.

New Prison Break: The Conspiracy Trailer

Here at Game Rant, we haven’t been the kindest of folks when it comes to Prison Break: The Conspiracy. From the initial screenshots we posted back in December, through to the screens we saw in February, we’ve been rather skeptical, to say the least. And who can blame us? With little to no real information to go on, we were forced to make judgements based on the screenshots provided. Suffice to say, we weren’t that impressed.

Yet, with the release of a new trailer, I have to say that my curiosity has been piqued. Sure, the visuals aren’t of the caliber of Alan Wake or Heavy Rain, but does that really matter? Perhaps it’s fair to say that as soon as the Prison Break score kicked in, my judgement was impaired somewhat as I was transported back to the show’s original release back in 2005, but that’s neither here nor there. It’s a release clearly aimed at the hardcore Prison Break fan, and as a member of that group, I have just one question; Where do I sign?

Capcom: MotoGP 09/10 Release Date & Trailer

MotoGP 09/10 is racing to consoles on March 16, 2010. Capcom will deliver a demo of their sim racer to both PSN and Xbox Live in advance of its debut.

Not just another pretty racer (though it does look good – check out the video below), MotoGP 09/10 is packing a lot of content. The standout feature has got to be online races for up to 20 players. Twenty players!  That’s a lot of people for the game to keep track.  If Capcom’s net code can keep everything running smoothly, that mode is going to be a blast.

Feast Upon This New Splinter Cell: Conviction Story Trailer

Splinter Cell: Conviction is shaping up to be a great looking action/stealth title, with definite emphasis on action in this new trailer Ubisoft has been so kind to release upon wanting eyes. This new trailer focuses a bit more on the story of Sam Fischer’s past and his future (which is filled with shooting people and punching them in the throat with guns). Keep your eyes peeled to see a bit of pre-Third Echelon Sam Fischer in the Middle East as a Navy SEAL.

Splinter Cell: Conviction: Mansion Infiltration Gameplay

If you think “Splinter Cell: Conviction is going to be more bad-ass then a zombie ninja riding a Tyrannosaurus Rex fighting a flying robot pirate” then I don’t think you’ve exaggerated at all. This is one of those games that every time you see it in action a little bit of you dies because you can’t play it right now!

This trailer does just that. Sam is surgically removing each and every bad guy while they run around so afraid that if they somehow manage to luckily make it out alive (and by luckily I mean Sam lets them go) then they just might go patch things up with their god(s).

Endless Ocean: Blue World Trailer

Endless Ocean: Blue World, Nintendo’s sequel to its 2008 fish touching… er, scuba diving simulation is due in just a few weeks.  To get everyone ready for a second trip into the briny deep, Nintendo today released a new trailer.

The trailer shows off the expanded set of “unique tools” available to the diver, not the least of which is the Pulsar, which will “heal and calm aquatic life.”  Whether the tool was healing or calming the sharks in the video remains, for now, unclear.

No one should worry about Blue World coming up short on the content side of the equation.  Over 300 species of fish are present and accounted for.  Multiple dive environments, from the icy arctic to the balmy tropics, are available to explore.  Blue World also features support for the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and will even make use of the Wii Speak peripheral.

Iron Man 2 Game Trailer Reveals War Machine!

Iron Man 2 Game Trailer Reveals War Machine!

Sega has released a new trailer for the upcoming Iron Man 2 game based on this Summer’s sure-to-be-smash-hit movie. This trailer is a bit more interesting than the initial game footage (below), as it depicts the War Machine character model in his shoulder-canon firing glory!

Movie based video games do not have a great track record over all, and Sega’s first Iron Man game was definitely not without its flaws. In that game, playing as Iron Man was entertaining enough, as you could fly the character around, use various weapons, and even upgrade armors throughout the game. However, the game suffered from incredibly poor perspective problems – characters who were within an arms length of Iron Man appeared out of scale and miles away. An obvious example was the final battle with Iron Monger where that character’s on-screen size never correctly matches his distance from your character. Essentially, the Iron Man model (taken directly from the CG renders of Iron Man in the first movie) never appears to be occupying the same space as the game’s other characters. That was just one of the problems.

Bethesda, who is known for their massive single player RPGs, is continuing along the journey they know so well. Although not a direct sequel to Fallout 3, this should add a new experience to those who enjoy a ravaged post apocalyptic world.

I was a fan of Fallout 3; however there were a lot of flaws that hindered my experience. I hope they can learn from previous games, and make the features of this game more fluid.
