In this week’s game trailer roundup, we’ve got more robots, secret warriors, bald guys, and Tim Schafer and his shenanigans. No need to wait around, the trailers of the week await viewing. They are, in fact, hungry for views.
1. Shoot Many Robots ’Customization’ Trailer
Shooting robots doesn’t have to be a dull affair. In fact, being dressed up in ridiculous costumes should be the only way to shoot robots. It will help diffuse the horrible realization that you are the one person (or maybe four people) who will stand between total robot domination of the human race. The Shoot Many Robots ”Customization” trailer illustrates the kind of outlandish costumes the player will be able to mash together to create the ultimate robot destruction outfit. +5 fashion if you wear the tiara. Watch the trailer below.
Shoot Many Robots releases March 14, 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PC.
2. Ghost Recon Online ’Recon Class Focus’ Trailer
Information is what truly wins battles. Why bother with all this shock & awe stuff when a few well placed men piping in real-time information to teammates is just as deadly, if not more efficient. A previous trailer focused more on introducing each individual class: Assault, Specialist, and Recon. This trailer for Ghost Recon Online focuses exclusively on the Recon class, who employs stealth and information in order to dominate the battlefield. Remember, in any gun fight, if he sees you before you see him – that means you’ll probably soon be respawning.
Ghost Recon Online starts an open beta on March 5 for PC. It’s console brethren, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier releases on May 22, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version will be releasing later on.
3. Blades of Time Gameplay Trailer
Up next is a gameplay trailer that might not have been on anybody’s radar, Blades of Time. Developed by Gaijin Entertainment and published by Konami, Blades of Time tells the story of Ayumi, on the hunt for treasure in the mythical Dragon Lands. Unfortunately, there are more than a few problems that stand in her way and as Ayumi progresses, she unlocks very interesting temporal manipulation powers that would make the Prince of Persia jealous. Look below!
Blades of Time releases on March 6, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
4. Hitman: Absolution Behind the Scenes Video
The original assassin, Agent 47, will be making his reappearance this year in Hitman: Absolution. Absolution will be IO Interactive’s biggest project to date and in the behind the scenes video below, the excitement exuding from the developing crew is very noticeable. In the video, there are glimpses of new gameplay and locations that will be present in the title. For a more solid gameplay footage, the 15 minute walkthrough, entitled ‘Run For Your Life’ is still available for viewing. For more recent stuff, check out the new screenshots and details from the game.
Hitman: Absolution releases in 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
5. Unit 13 ’How to Play’ Video
Zipper Interactive (SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs series) will be releasing their first game on the PlayStation Vita fairly soon and has started releasing a video series that will be detailing the ins-and-outs of the title to get fans excited for the game. Unit 13 will be a third person arcade shooter with an emphasis on getting high scores on each level, perfect for on-the-go gaming. The gameplay will allow enough freedom for players of any shooter play style to enjoy the game, leaving the choice of character class solely up to the player. Watch below for an extensive look of gameplay.

6. SSX ’Patagonia,’ ‘Alaska,’ ‘Siberia,’ and TV Spot Teasers
Yes, another cornucopia of SSX trailers to devour. Just as a reminder, the game has been released and our review is live. The sequence of trailers shows off even more areas that snowboarding fans will enjoy and most likely never get to snowboard in real life (lest money be no object). Not to mention, EA Sports put together aTV spot to remind fans that anytime is a good time for virtual snowboarding.
SSX is available now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
7. Double Fine Productions Blooper Reel
Remember when Double Fine Productions reached out to the fan community and raised over $1 million (*Dr. Evil pinky move*) to create a new point-and-click adventure game? Well, 2 Player Productions (Minecraft: The Story of Mojang, Penny Arcade TV Season 1) has released the blooper reel for the video featured on the Kickstarter page and who doesn’t love bloopers?
That’s it for this week’s roundup. Thanks for stopping by, make sure to tip your servers and we will see you next week!
