There are many new things to discover in Fortnite Season 6. The map now includes wildlife to hunt or tame, and a huge cast of NPCs to find and interact with. For the players who are eager to come out on top with a Victory Royale, the most intriguing discoveries in Season 6 will likely be the new bosses and gear waiting to be found. This guide will be a handy companion in tracking down the powerful bosses and mythic weapons scattered across the revamped map.

There are a total of 3 new bosses and 2 mythic gear items in Fortnite Season 6. Fittingly, players who want to get their hands on mythic items will have to prove their worth by defeating the corresponding boss first. Even though it's tempting to rush in and check out the new bosses and gear as soon as possible, it should be noted that many other players will be thinking the same thing. Some precautions should be taken, otherwise, an ill-prepared player will be quickly eliminated in the crossfire.

Spire Assassin and Spire Assassin's Primal Shotgun

The first boss on this list is also one who drops a powerful mythic weapon. Players in search of this enemy should head to The Spire that has appeared in the center of the map. The Spire Assassin wanders around the market areas near the base of The Spire and can be easily found by following the sounds of its alien speech. This is a challenging foe with strong shields and teleportation moves, not to mention the fact that it uses its mythic weapon against the player.

Defeating the Spire Assassin yields the powerful Spire Assassin's Primal Shotgun. This is the pinnacle of the new high-damage Primal weapon type added in Season 6. Many players will be vying for this weapon early on in a match, but the one who manages to claim it will be in a great position to score a Victory Royale.

Spire Guardians and Spire Jumpboots

Aside from the large spire in the center of the map, there are also six smaller spires further out. They can be easily found at the tips of the orange/autumnal-colored treeline as seen on the map. Each spire is protected by a Spire Guardian boss. This is also an enemy capable of quick teleportation, so it shouldn't be underestimated. Defeating a Spire Guardian yields a large orb that players should pick up if they want to obtain a mythic item.

The Spire Guardian's orb doesn't take up an inventory slot. Rather, the player's character will visibly carry it. A glowing beam coming off the orb points towards the large central Spire, and that's where the orb should be taken. Players should keep in mind that they are very vulnerable while carrying this orb. But if they can make it back to The Spire and place the orb in its appropriate slot, players will be rewarded with the mythic Spire Jumpboots.

Raptor

This boss is located in the northwestern corner of the map, at Coral Castle. Raptor will be found amongst some airplane wreckage on the bottom-right island of the Coral Castle area. He may not seem as intimidating as the Spire bosses, but Raptor shouldn't be taken lightly. With a Primal SMG in-hand, he has the ability to dish out some damage. Players who defeat him, however, will be able to claim that Primal weapon as their very own and interact with Raptor as an NPC.

Fighting bosses is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to new content in Fortnite Season 6. Players who want to get the most out of the experience can also level up their battle pass and take on the investigation of strange anomalies. Suffice it to say, the fun is only just beginning for the dedicated fans out there.

Fortnite is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
