Fortnite Season 5 introduces many new weapons to the game, including some exotic ones. One of the new exotics, the Dragon's Breath shotgun, features incendiary rounds, which Fortnite players have discovered an unexpected use for.

Epic Games' popular battle royale title recently launched the weapon with its fifth season of Chapter 2. This season focuses on bounty hunters, introducing unexpected crossovers like The Mandalorian and God of War's Kratos.

Fortnite's Dragon's Breath shotgun is making a deadly addition to the game's arsenal. Available in both Epic and Legendary tier, the fiery close-range weapon excels at dealing massive damage, not unlike Call of Duty: Warzone's own Dragon's Breath. However, the gun has a secret use that Fortnite players are only just now discovering.

Rather than using the rounds to drain enemies' health, players can use the Dragon's Breath to restore their own. Because the exotic weapon's rounds ignite, players are able to light campfires. Whether in solos or squads, this trick may come in handy to keep players alive in a pinch. A single shot instantly sets the campfire ablaze, without the need to spend wood.

Obviously, this means that the weapon is also capable of burning down wooden structures, adding another layer of functionality. This is just one example of the many details players have noticed since Fortnite's engine overhaul earlier this year. Although, this isn't the only unique interaction with items players are finding in the game. Players can also use Firefly Jars the same way as the Dragon's Breath in terms of starting fires. Conversely, Chug Splashes can be thrown to put out any flames.

While the discovery may not seem like the biggest advantage for the Dragon's Breath, it's just one more bonus feature to the already-strong shotgun. However, while the exotic shotgun is one of Season 5's most popular additions, players can soon expect even more options. A recent Fortnite leak reveals a western shotgun and new exotic weapons are soon arriving in the game. The myriad new weapons and elements that Epic Games continues to introduce seems to really be looking to freshen up the battle royale's formula.

However, while there may be a lot of new weapons and gameplay content, many fans are left wondering about Fortnite's story. Basically, nothing has furthered Agent Jones' story since players last saw him in the Fortnite Season 5 story trailer. Fortunately, this may soon change in just a matter of days. The Game Awards founder Geoff Keighley is teasing big news for Fortnite at the industry awards show, which takes place December 10.

Fortnite is free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
