A new week of the current Fortnite season has begun, bringing with it a fresh batch of quests for players to complete. In addition to Fortnite's usual weekly quests, another set of quests for the ongoing Fortnitemares Halloween event have been released as well, including the destruction of several pieces of haunted household furniture.
Epic Games' massively popular free-to-play battle royale title officially kicked off its Fortnitemares 2022 event last week, bringing with it a plethora of themed content. Not only has the Halloween event given several POIs a spooky overlay, but it has also added several new and returning items as well as new cosmetics like Evil Dead's Ash Williams and Rick and Morty's Summer and Mr. Meeseeks.
Fortnitemares 2022 also comes with a set of spooky chrome accessories, which can only be unlocked by completing a designated number of Fortnitemares quests. One of these quests includes destroying haunted household furniture, which is actually less difficult than it may sound.
Destroy Haunted Household Furniture Locations
Players simply need to look for furniture, which can be most easily found in POIs like Greasy Grove. Fortnite players can destroy haunted household furniture by any means necessary; if a piece of furniture is floating or moving, sometimes with a silvery aura, it's haunted.
Destroying haunted household furniture has no adverse side effects, as players can simply destroy the objects as they would any regular furniture. Considering the usual congestion that tends to occur at certain locations right as new quests are released, it's advisable for players to grab a powerful short-range weapon like the new Howler Claws. The new item effectively grants the wielder the power of a werewolf, granting a Slash Ability that not only excels at quickly destroying haunted furniture but opponents as well. Howler Claws also feature the Wolfscent Ability, which tracks enemy locations in a nearby radius.
In addition to Greasy Grove, the spookier POIs are other prime locations for haunted household furniture, although the zombies that spawn in make it a bit of a challenge. Locations include Grim Gables, Willow's Haunt, and Knowby Cabin, which is also where players can find the new Ash Williams NPC. The beloved horror protagonist sells shotguns, which is another Fortnitemares quest, and makes a subtle reference to the Tobey Maguire-led Spider-Man films that he had several cameos in.
Once players have destroyed at least seven pieces of haunted household furniture, the quest will be complete. They can then go on to complete the rest of the latest batch of Fortnitemares quests, which include things like destroying objects with a Pumpkin Launcher. With Fortnitemares 2022 ending in just a few days, players should be sure to take advantage of all the Halloween content.
