Force Unleashed 2 Pre-Order Scores You a ‘Maulkiller’

Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 GameStop Pre-order

GameStop has become kind of known to include in-game bonuses for people who pre-order games from them, point in case Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2.

GameStop will be adding an exclusive skin for the character that is sure to make fans of the franchise foam at the mouth, including what looks to be a Darth Maul/Star Killer hybrid. Maulkiller is his name and looking bad-ass is his game, well being bad-ass is his game but Force Unleashed 2 is actually his game. Either way, you’d probably be content just with a skin, but Game Stop is going to sweeten the pot for pre-orderees.

The additional in-game content will come in the form of some pretty awesome Maulkiller Silver Saber Crystal lightsabers. Not only do they feature an intimidating silver glow, but GameStop has claimed that this “allows the player to consume less Force energy when using Force powers in order to devastate enemies.” So not only do the lightsabers genuinely look awesome, but they will help you consume less of your Force powers while devastating Storm Troopers — I’m not mad.

The pre-orders are pretty cool, but I was hoping for something more along the lines of a Jar-Jar Binks or Admiral Akbar skin. Alas, these truly magnificent characters may never get the true recognition they deserve. Although, if they did include Jar-Jar Binks I would never be able to progress past the first level because I would just be so content watching Storm Troopers shoot him in the face.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 is set to hit retailers later this year on October 26.

Has GameStop secured your pre-order with the exclusive skin and lightsaber? What kind of pre-order item would you have preferred?

  1. I’m looking forward to this, but I’m not preordering – even with some cool skins. I enjoyed the first, but not to the point where I need to preorder.
