There are video game cosplayers of every type. Some simply want to look like the character they're trying to portray, while others like to recreate specific moments. This is the case with one Final Fantasy 7 Remake cosplayer who chose to dress up like Aerith and reenact a specific scene during the Wall Market portion of the game.

After infiltrating Don Corneo's estate in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, pretending to be potential brides, Aerith and Tifa drop the act and begin to trounce Corneo's goons. Tifa can handle herself in a fight with nothing but her fists, but Aerith isn't much of a brawler. Instead, she goes full WWE and knocks one of the guys out with a folding chair. Cosplayer Katerpillerkosplay decided to capture this moment by photographing herself in Aerith's red gown and wielding a folding chair.

The photo was posted to Reddit, where commenters showed their appreciation for something other than the usual cosplay. Those who do like things a little more traditional will find plenty, especially when it comes to a popular game like this one. In fact, cosplayer alegrachan shared photos of her great Tifa cosplay recently. She certainly looked the part, and the tattoos added a little more edge to the character.

Final Fantasy 7 has always been a popular entry in the series, but it made a huge comeback after the remake hit the scene. The game is still fresh in people's minds as well with the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. While the boost in graphics is always a welcome feature, it's really the added bonus of a new DLC featuring Yuffie that seals the deal. It expands upon the story by showing some of what was happening behind the scenes from the young ninja's perspective.

It wasn't just the early introduction of one of Cloud's future teammates, but also the introduction of villains from past Final Fantasy 7 spinoffs that made the new content incredibly intriguing. Throw in the fact that a new ending for Final Fantasy 7 Remake was tacked on at the end and it's easy to see why Intergrade was such a success. It extends the original ending by just a bit, showing Cloud and the gang as they make their way to the next town after leaving Midgar.

While it doesn't do a lot to progress the story, it's still nice to see what the group is up to. There's also a short bonus scene featuring Zack, which certainly mixes things up for the story to come. As for what is next for the group, there's still a lot up in the air. Final Fantasy 7 Remake sticks mostly to the original's story but has managed to surprise fans by throwing a lot of curveballs. At this point, anything could happen. Who knows, Aerith may ditch the staves completely in the sequel and start hitting enemies with folding chairs.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out now for PS4 and PS5.
