One of the most dangerous locations that Far Cry 6 players will encounter when exploring the island of Yara is the region of Esperanza. With the area full of military curfew ordered by Anton Castillo, heavily armored troops patrol the streets with no residents in sight.

While the region may not have as many activities to complete as the neighboring regions of Aguas Lindas and Lozania, there is a challenging Treasure Hunt that Far Cry 6 players can attempt to solve on the west coast near Roja Bay. After arriving at this location, interact with the document found in the marked orange box to begin the Treasure Hunt.

After reading the note, players will find out that the property belonged to a former engineer who has left a treasure behind a locked door for her children. In order to open the door, players must follow the power lines from the door to find and activate three power switches.

Picture Frame House

Start by following the powerline to the turquoise house to the south. Inside the house, players will find a rooster that can be used in the cockfights found at the hideouts throughout Yara.

1st house

After exploring the house, players may be surprised to find no power switch is immediately visible; however, the note found on the table gives a clue. In the note, the former owner of the house describes her morning routine as; turning on the radio, watching the news on the TV, and reminiscing about the family home on the seashore.

note clue

To find the hidden power switch, players must interact with the objects as described in the note. Start by turning on the radio, followed by the TV. To unlock the hidden power switch room, interact with the picture found to the left of the bookcase. After flipping the power switch, players can now proceed to the next building.

Poison Gas House

To find the second power switch, follow the power line to the house located next to the large yellow poison container. At this location, players will find the power switch hidden through a crawl space that is accessed by the door at the side of the house.

Unfortunately, the poison gas being pumped into the house will prevent the player from accessing the switch. To stop the poison gas, head to the large yellow canister next to the house and turn the valve. Once the valve has been turned, the poison will stop pumping into the house and players can safely flip the power switch.

Water Tower

The third and final switch is found on top of a blue water tower along the shore. While this may seem simple, it is complicated by the fact that there is no ladder to reach the top of the tower.

To access the tower, crawl through the hole in the concrete wall to the north. Players should be cautious as beyond the wall there is an active military base with several enemy patrols.

water tower jump

Once inside the base, jump onto the green roof of the long barrack-like building. From the green rooftop, players will be able to successfully sprint and jump to reach the top of the water tower.

hunt reward

After flipping the final power switch, head back to the sealed door in order to unlock the four-star Desert Eagle Pistol and the Taskmaster Pants. Unlike previous Treasure Hunt rewards, the Desert Eagle is not a "unique weapon" and can be fully customized at any workbench in Far Cry 6.
