In Far Cry 6, the player can carry a set of over-the-top weapons that absolutely devastate anything in their path. From a minigun made from a motorcycle engine to a chemically-enhanced flamethrower, one instance where an action-adventure game really feels like it's treading into new territory is its varied arsenal of homebrew fire-power goodies available when waging war against Giancarlo Esposito's devilish Anton Castillo.

For the uninitiated, the upcoming Far Cry 6 will be set in the Yara, a fictional Caribbean island nation in Cuba. Here players will lead an army of guerrilla fighters known as the Libertad, searching for revenge after the island's dictator ordered a squad of troops to open fire on their allies. However, it would seem when attempting to topple an evil regime, revenge is a dish best served hot.

Leading the brand-new live-action trailer is actor Giancarlo Esposito, who serves as the title's main antagonist. The trailer itself is just over a minute long, with Esposito spending most of the runtime detailing then assembling the guerrilla fighters' standard rebel flamethrower, a deadly piece of gear that can be handled by Far Cry 6's playable protagonist Dani Rojas. Similarly to the previous entry in the franchise, Far Cry New Dawn, most of the weapons in the latest game are recycled from bits and pieces of junk found throughout the environment.

The firing mechanism of the fire-spewing item in question is shabbily compromised of a gas pump handle, with the motor of the flamethrower being a leaf blower engine or some other "threatening" piece of machinery. Amusingly, only a pipe canister, tape, plus various other junkyard trinkets hold the flamethrower together. Overall, while the standard fare of Molotov cocktails and grenade launchers are to be expected in Far Cry 6, trailers like this prove that players can likewise keep their eyes peeled for some of the more outlandish additions to Dani's arsenal.

As the release date for the game inches closer, more weapons are likely to be shown off as a part of the "Deconstructing Resolver Weapons with Giancarlo Esposito" YouTube series. After all, if there is going to be over forty weapons that can be customized throughout the game, most can agree that there is no one better than the Breaking Bad star to show off what Far Cry 6‘s arsenal has to offer.

Speaking of which, like many Ubisoft games before it, Far Cry 6 has a crazy collector's edition that boasts a life-sized replica of the flamethrower. Additionally, anyone who buys the game on current-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade their game to the console's next generational counterpart, free of charge.

Far Cry 6 launches October 7 for Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
