Now that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is available to console players (and soon, PC players), it's time for Ubisoft to re-focus their efforts for the next big thing. We aren't talking about Assassin's Creed 3, we're talking something a lot more insane: Far Cry 3.

Game Rant had the opportunity earlier this year to visit Ubisoft Montreal and chat with some of the creative minds behind the return of Far Cry and it is there where the ideas and beautiful visuals presented in the mind-blowing E3 2011 Far Cry 3 announcement video became even more mind-blowing. Much was held back however, and so with E3 2012 kicking off next week, we're already starting to see hints of what's still to come.

Earlier this week, Ubisoft released another 'Road to E3 2012' video - the first being for Assassin's Creed 3. This one featured producer Dan Hay, cinematics director Robert Purdy, lead writer Jeffrey Yohalem, and a few others working on the game as they chat about the project, what's being done in preparation for the big event, and what goes on behind-the-scenes in doing the motion capture work for the wild cast of characters featured in the game, all representing different brands of insanity.

Check out the one-minute trailer up top for a hint of what's to come at Ubisoft's E3 2012 press conference on Monday, June 4, where we expect to get a lot more of poster boy Vaas, a lot more insanity, and a deeper look at the game's world and multiplayer features. Game Rant will be there reporting live to keep an eye out for our live-blog of the presentation as well as our hands-on previews from what we learn at Ubisoft's booth.

Be sure to check out Game Rant's full Far Cry 3 preview, along with our in-depth interviews about the game's campaign and world:

If you're already sold, also check out the Vaas-focused box art along with the "Insane Edition" for the collectors out there.

Far Cry 3 releases September 4, 2012 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
