Fancy another trip to Silent Hill?
Well, Climax do!
According to an interview from Official Nintendo Magazine with Climax’s Mark Simmons (Game Director) and Sam Barlow (Lead Designer), another adventure into the foggy depths of Silent Hill could be on the table depending on how well Silent Hill: Shattered Memories performs.
Taken from the interview:
ONM: What’s next For Climax? Would you like to make another Silent Hill game?
Mark Simmons: Absolutely. We’ve always loved working on the series. Since Origins we’ve spent a lot of time with the series. For us we feel we’ve put our stamp on the series with Shattered Memories so we’d love the opportunity to do another one. So everybody go and buy it!
Sam Barlow: I think this is the first Silent Hill since one or two where people are saying it has its own identity and people are responding to it really well so it would be great to take that further.
You can read the full interview here.
While I wasn’t a great fan of Silent Hill: Origins, I really did enjoy Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and would love to see more in that particular style. Would anyone else be interested in a sequel to Shattered Memories or would you prefer a return to the gritty, rusty style of the originals?

How does the profiling system work ?
Would like to add, in the interview this was gathered from, ONM had asked if the readerbase had any questions. Mine, “Why decide to revisit SH1?” was the first asked.
This game totally got lost in the holiday shuffle. It's such a unique title – and definitely a great game for any Wii-peeps looking for something other than shovel-ware.

There's a psychiatrist that you meet with who has you answer a variety of seemingly random questions, etc.
Your responses alter the way characters react to you, how the monsters appear, as well as the physical appearance of certain Silent Hill locales.
