New Vegas Update Glitch Xbox 360

For most players, hearing that their favorite game has been granted an update is something like Christmas off-season. Unfortunately for many that picked up the Fallout: New Vegas update for the Xbox 360 that was released today, they may not be having the same experience. Bethesda released a statement today stating that the latest update (v1.3) for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 had a slight drawback. While the PC and PS3 users were unaffected, 360 users were left with having their save data fail to load, once installed.

This only comes as the most recent technical issue in a long line of them for New Vegas. The game's launch was anything but smooth, with a mass of glitches and bugs rendering many players completely unable to complete the main campaign.

On the official Bethsoft forums, a Bethesda Community Manger released a statement towards the affected parties.

“Regarding the Xbox 360 update, we’ve discovered a solution to the issue that’s causing problems with game saves. We’ll be hosting a replacement update on Xbox LIVE as soon as humanly possible. If you haven't grabbed the New Vegas update on 360 today, we recommend you decline the current update until the new one is live. We'll be sure to let you know when the new one is up. “

While most fans of the game have likely lost their sense of humor when it comes to glitches or technical screw-ups at this point, at least the developer is responding as quickly as possible. Hopefully the solution will come before too many players call it quits with New Vegas, because all software hiccups aside, the game is a great experience overall.

With more New Vegas DLC on the way, Bethesda has plenty of reasons to keep the game up and running for the foreseeable future.

Hopefully the issue will be resolved quickly, but we'll be sure to keep you up to date on any new developments.

Fallout: New Vegas is available now for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
