While Fallout 4 has done well to dominate the conversation based on the quality of its gameplay and story alone, developer Bethesda and its marketing team are not stopping now. Yes, the highly anticipated game might finally be on store shelves, but the opportunities for cross promotion, tie-ins, and merchandising are only just beginning.

The latest in the Fallout 4 merchandising flurry is a pair of shoes themed after Vault 111. Much like prior Vault 111 and Fallout 4 merch, the shoes come in a light blue color scheme with yellow accents. More importantly, these Fallout 4 shoes are officially endorsed by Bethesda, making them more of a collector’s item than anything else.

Those interested in picking up the Vault 111 sneakers can do so on Bethesda’s official store. Priced at $85, the Fallout 4 shoes are not going to come cheap, but that’s because they are made with quality material.

In fact, Bethesda warns patrons not to get the shoes wet or else the colors might bleed. That’s apparently because the shoes are made with high quality blue suede leather, which we must admit looks really nice. Whether or not we’d want to walk around in bright blue shoes, on the other hand, is a different question.

At this point, it’s time to start asking if there are any Fallout 4-themed items not in the cards for Bethesda, as it seems like the developer/publisher has almost every potential item covered. There’s the Vault 111 hoodie, Christmas ornaments themed around Vault Boys, and now this pair of shoes.

And the Fallout 4 tie-ins don’t just extend to real world items either; there are plenty of virtual cross-promotional features as well. Just today, for example, Rock Band 4 publisher Activision announced it would feature Fallout 4 apparel for its virtual rockers. And earlier this month Psyonix detailed plans to add post apocalyptic items to its vehicular sports title Rocket League.

But even those players who don’t want to partake of the cross promotion can rest easy knowing that Bethesda has delivered a solid open world RPG experience in Fallout 4. Across the board, reviews for Fallout 4 have been overwhelmingly positive, and the community continues to find new and exciting things to explore in the game. Mods will certainly expand upon that, and flesh things out to new levels, but even the base game is fun enough to make it worth recommending. And for those players that absolutely love Fallout 4, now there are shoes.

Are there any pieces of Fallout 4 merchandise that you’re hoping for? Have you bought any Fallout 4 tie-in items?
