With Fallout 4 just a month away, those looking forward to traversing the grim wasteland of a post-nuclear war Boston can finally find out whether their PC reaches the minimum specifications. Bethesda has now revealed the PC minimum and recommended specs, as well as confirming the console download size. Not only that, but the developer has also announced just when the game will be unlocked and available for play.

The information was revealed as part on an extensive FAQ section released by Bethesda. At a minimum, PC players will need 8GB RAM and 30GB free HDD space to get Fallout 4 up and running, whilst an Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent is also required. Console players will also need between 28GB and 35GB of hard drive space available for the game, depending on territory and languages supported.

Not only that, but Bethesda also gave details on exactly when the game would be open to play. According to the publisher, the digital versions of the game will become available on November 10, 2015 at 12:01 AM. North American players will need to wait for unlock at 12:01AM EST, whilst those in Asia and Japan will need to wait a little while longer. The Asian version of the game will unlock at 12:00AM on November 11, whilst Japanese gamers will need to hold on until 12:00 on December 17.

Bethesda released a little more information on the use of the Pip-Boy app. Although the Collector's Edition Pip-Boy device will not fit the iPhone 6 Plus, the actual app will be available across iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices. The publisher also confirmed that the app will launch alongside Fallout 4 itself on November 10.

Excitement is ramping up for Fallout 4 at the moment, with Bethesda launching a number of videos showcasing S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats such as Intelligence and Charisma. Meanwhile, the developer has also teased the importance of character in the latest iteration of the much-loved RPG series. Now, players will have an even better idea of just how well such features will run.

Some of the information given in the FAQ will not have been fresh news to those looking forward to the game, with Bethesda already confirming the Xbox One download size for Fallout 4. However, the information will have proved vital to others. True to form for Bethesda, the minimum specs are not as high-end as some other games that have been recently released, meaning that those gamers with a little less space available could still be able to get immersed in the wasteland.
