One Fallout 4 fan creates a brand new mod for Bethesda's post-apocalyptic RPG that lets players craft every type of ammunition available in the title.

NexusMods user Xylozi has created a PC mod for Fallout 4 that adds every type of ammunition imaginable as a craftable object at the title's in-game Chemistry Stations. This includes includes 5mm slugs, 10mm bullets, .308 caliber rounds, Plasma Cartridges, Railroad Spikes, Cryo Cells, as well as numerous others.

Although the Fallout 4 mod is definitely beneficial, it's important to note that some of the actual rounds and munitions are locked behind perks that have to be acquired first. So, depending on which type of ammo would-be Vault Dwellers want, players will need to make sure that their Science or Demolition Expert levels for example are at a certain rank before being able to craft them.

Xylozi's creation is without a doubt one of the more useful Fallout 4 mods made since the game's release. Not surprisingly, there have been countless instances of fan-made content conjured up so far with some being helpful, and others simply being cosmetic alterations. In the former camp, one fan introduced the ability for players to utilize the game's monsters as companions, while one of the more superficial, but fun mods actually peeved a lot of Major League Baseball's copyright holders as it incorporated the Boston Red Sox's David Ortiz and his jersey into the title.

Of course, some Fallout 4 fans will choose to avoid using Xylozi's Craftable Ammunition mod by opting for the more organic experience of exploring every nook and cranny for rounds, or completing quests for bottle caps to spend at vendors for bullets, which is in all honesty, the best way to enjoy the game. However, those console gamers wishing to get in on the modifications being made to Fallout 4's PC port will soon be able to enjoy the feature in the near future, considering director Todd Howard has promised the official Creation Kit mod tools to be available post-launch in 2016, with Xbox One getting them first.

It's obvious that Fallout 4 is a rousing success, especially with so many fans spending their time building mods for the release. In fact, not only did 12 million units ship to make upwards of $750 million in revenue for Bethesda in the first week, but the action-RPG also made buku bucks in online marketplaces like Steam and GOG, as the game's digital sales topped $100 million in 3 days.

Bearing all of this in mind, Bethesda's bottom line will definitely grow even more due to Fallout 4's base game, but Xylozi's Craftable Ammunition mod—among the myriad others—will help the studio garner even more fans along the way. With the modding community dedicating its talents into making top-notch supplementary materials for the title free-of-charge, they incentivize more people to check out the game, which basically creates a winning scenario for the studio.
