In an interview with Bit-Tech, Peter Molyneux had some interesting things to say about his upcoming game Fable 3. He mentions how we'll initially be given, "the first big episodes," and then we'll, "be able to download new episodes." It's hard not to have seen this coming after Fable 2 was re-released in an episodic manner.

Here's the full quote:

"We’ve always had a feel for Fable as a game that’s got a big story, that starts in King Arthurs time and goes through this big arc so in some ways we’re [just] playing out that, but I’ve often thought it would be brilliant to be walking through Charles Dickens’ London. It was such a dark place and very episodic too — so we’re doing that with Fable 3, we’ll give you the first big episodes, and you’ll be able to download new episodes, which is analogous to the way Dickens wrote. "

While I would be hard pressed to call Fable or anything related to it Dickens-esque, at least Molyneux has considered the episodic release style beyond, "More money!"

Or wait, I don't think Dickens had anything to do with this:

"Some of the shops in Albion are linked to the internet, and every so often, populated by stuff from Lionhead. You don’t have to go out to some horrible dashboard and download the Armageddon Pack 5. "

There's also some interesting deatails on what Molyneux thinks about emotional content in games, and some vague discussion of Natal. It's always worth checking out when Molyneux discusses design and development. Unfortunately, his full intentions never seem to translate into the actual game.

Well, Ranters, does episodic content make you more likely to pick up Fable 3? I think I'll wait to see just how much integration it has with Natal before I make a final decision.
