World of Speed

[HTML1]

Is the "World" greater than your "Need" for "Speed"? Slightly Mad Studios, the team behind the Need For Speed: Shift titles announced their own free-to-play racer dubbed World of Speed. It's published by My.com and is multiplayer-focused, coming to Windows PC.

Live-Action Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare

 [HTML2]

The above funny TV spot (dubbed "Chum Rush") for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare  - a game that we loved at E3 2013 - emphasizes the hilarity surrounding the combatants and weapons in the game. The game releases for PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on February 28, 2014.

Ground Zeroes PS4

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, a game which earned some mixed reaction in the news lately due to reports pinning its play time at only two hours (seemingly if you speed run it), finally releases this March 18, 2014. After showcasing the game at a Japanese event, director Hideo Kojima teased that they're collaborating with Sony, possibly for a MGS5 themed PS4. Interested?

Arkham Origins Blackgate on Consoles

[HTML5]

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate released for the 3DS and Vita, originally a tie-in release to the console and PC core game, but it's seemingly coming to consoles. Nothing official yet, but this tweet we can assume means its coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 digital marketplaces.

BF4: Second Assault Date

The rumors were true and the Battlefield 4: Second Assault DLC will be available for Premium subscribers playing on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on February 18, 2014. It's already out on Xbox One (timed exclusive) and comes out for everyone else on March 4, 2014. Yeap, the ridiculousness  from BF3 continues and there are literally three tiers of DLC releases. Talk about mis-aligned priorities... Will the Titanfall beta and March release take a bite out of the BF4 playerbase? The next BF4 DLC pack, Naval Strike, hits sometime in March.

Space Jam 2K14

[HTML6]

This is awesome. A fan-made mod turns NBA 2K14, arguably the best sports game to come out in 2013, into the Michael Jorden-led Space Jam championship game. See for yourself in the video above. As for rival EA Sports and the super fail known as NBA Live, well, an unauthorized tweet (since removed) may be hinting at better basketball days ahead for Electronic Arts in the form of another NBA Jam game - that is, if fans want it. An EA rep tells Joystiq though:

"Yesterday, there was unauthorized use of the @nbajam Twitter handle. We do not have any announcements to make about NBA Jam at this time."

Maybe at E3 this summer?
