It's been five years since gamers last jumped into the lands of Tamriel with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and now we're only a month away before the northern province of Skyrim welcomes us. Based 200 years after the last game and introducing dragons for the first time in the franchise, the long awaited Skyrim is easily one of the most anticipated games of the year.

Each week we learn or see something new, from 20 minutes of Skyrim gameplay footage and why Bethesda enjoys developing The Elder Scrolls on the consoles, to the game's new race abilities and perks and the recently revealed list of Skyrim's achievements. Today, we have another new batch of Skyrim screenshots which show off the land, people, weapons and of course, dragons.

Our last Skyrim image galleries focused on the playable races of the game and showcased the improved graphics engine with a detailed look at 200 preset faces from the character creation system. Needless to say, the vast mountainous region of Skyrim and its inhabitants look great and we can't wait to step and and explore some of what is show in the latest screenshots from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:

In The Elder Scrolls, it's all about the details and each screenshot aims to emphasize what details have been tweaked and revamped in the next epic fantasy adventure from Bethesda. From an actual working alchemy table and a magical bow, to a giant statue of Azura and a cryptic torture chamber, even the dark and evil corners of Skyrim offer intriguing and enticing environments to explore.

A magical bow against a bear? That's not fair. I hope the Frost Atronach helps out.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim releases November 11, 2011 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. What type of character will you aim to play as?
