Elden Ring spoilers have arrived. More than two months ahead of the release of the highly anticipated action RPG, information about Elden Ring's mechanics, story, and more have started circulating the internet. The community is coming together in hopes of shutting those spoilers down as much as possible.

Elden Ring may be the most highly anticipated game of 2022. FromSoftware's next Souls-like game was first announced back at E3 2019. Fans have since been dying to glean any information on the game, sometimes dealing with long data droughts. Over the past few months, Elden Ring has received new trailers, gameplay showcases, and more. However, massive spoilers are something that most fans do not want to see before the launch, and apparently, the internet is starting to be flooded by them.

According to a Reddit post on r/Eldenring, "extreme spoilers" are in the wild of the world wide web thanks to datamined content. Savvy players have cracked the code of network tests for Elden Ring that first went live last month. Voice lines, pieces of the story, gameplay mechanics and systems, and more have all been revealed from the datamining. Fans may want to avoid the internet and Elden Ring news specifically to bypass the leaked information.

In light of the spoilers, any content related to the datamining of Elden Ring has been banned on the r/Eldenring subreddit, which is what the moderators shared in the recent post. Along with the game being spoiled for many, there is little way to verify posts on the topic, and therefore misinformation is also being shared. The achievement count for Elden Ring also may have been leaked recently, but again this is unconfirmed and it still may not be as egregious as some of the other datamined information in terms of spoilers.

The FromSoftware community has supported Elden Ring with intense fervor. After years of patience, the wait is almost over. It would be a massive bummer for key details to be ruined for a fan after such a long wait. With that in mind, that same community is hoping to bottle up the datamined spoilers as much as possible. Hidetaka Miyazaki and company have kept the game relatively secret for years, and just for a couple more months, it would be nice to stay that way. Elden Ring, like Bloodborne or Dark Souls 2 before it, has a chance to be a game of the year type video game.

Elden Ring launches February 25, 2022, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
