Amidst the popularity of the recently released Elden Ring, many players have taken its character customization feature to the next level. One Elden Ring player customized their character to look eerily similar to an unmistakable character from the famous Friends TV series.

Following up on some of its previous hits like Demon's Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Elden Ring is FromSoftware's latest IP, and it was one of the most anticipated titles for 2022. Launched on February 25, the game was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki in collaboration with A Song of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin. Within the first week of release, Elden Ring has amassed nearly perfect review scores. With it shaping up to be one of the most critically acclaimed video games ever made, it is no surprise that there are many players messing with its character creator.

Thus far, many have taken it upon themselves to see how far they can adjust their character's appearance to make them look like figures from pop culture. For instance, gamers have already started to make their own versions of GigaChad in Elden Ring's character creator. Now, one player has managed to build his character to resemble Ross Geller from the beloved Friends TV series.

Of course, character customization is nothing new in video games. It's a feature that has spanned decades, particularly in role-playing games. But the character creator in Elden Ring allows players to customize even the minute details of their character's appearance. This means fans could potentially spend hours with their character customizations to craft very specific appearances of their choosing. For example, one player attempted to recreate handsome Shrek from Shrek 2 as his character.

This level of attention to detail extends further into other aspects of the highly anticipated action RPG, both in terms of its worldbuilding and gameplay. Elden Ring starts off with a linear opening before allowing the player to experience the open-world exploration in great detail. While the game has been well-received following its launch, it's also plagued by several performance issues. Most notably, Elden Ring's PC performance on Steam has mixed reviews on the platform whereas some PS5 players are experiencing save issues within the game. It's expected that Bandai Namco, Elden Ring's publisher, will release patch updates to fix the problems. Regardless, the current reception from critics and users alike is making Elden Ring a title that gamers shouldn't miss out on.

Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
