Dr Disrespect is one of the largest streaming personalities, well known for his loud, bombastic character and skilled FPS gameplay. And now he's released a book titled Violence. Speed. Momentum.

Dr Disrespect is a streaming personality performed by Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV, who started streaming full time in 2015 after leaving a level designer position at Sledgehammer Games. The character of Dr Disrespect is energetic, frantic, and loud, which saw him quickly build a following on Twitch. Known primarily for playing battle royale games like Call of Duty: Warzone and PUBG. He made headlines months ago after Twitch mysteriously banned him and he started streaming and posting videos on YouTube.

Now, Dr Disrespect is bringing his trademark moustache and shades to bookshelves, with his new book releasing today. The book is a memoir written entirely in Dr Disrespect's usual explosive candor, although it is unclear if the details within are to flesh out Dr Disrespect as a character, or if it is a more open telling about Herschel Beahm. Regardless, the book description describes it as having the "rhythm of a sleazy '70s muscleman and the ruthlessness of a '90s serial killer." The book also claims to share Dr Disrespect's "deepest, most intimate secrets" and "the untold history of his mysterious, legendary origins."

No matter what the book's focus is, Dr Disrespect's fans will undoubtedly enjoy giving it a read. The book follows in the footsteps of other top influencers testing out the literary market such as Allie Brosh and Joey Graceffa. While the move to YouTube does seem to have impacted Dr Disrespect's brand or following too notably, it is undeniable that 2020 was a rough patch for him. Luckily, Dr Disrespect teased exciting things in store for this year, with this book just being the first to come to fruition.

As rambunctious and over-the-top as Dr Disrespect is, his online presence is a force to be reckoned with. Not only does he have a massive following, with 3.28 million subscribers on YouTube, but he is also seen as an important opinion in the realm of FPS games. Dr Disrespect's opinions on Call of Duty: Warzone are particularly heard, with his assessments of the popular battle royale frequently amplifying the opinions of the fanbase. It remains to be seen just how the rest of the year will shake out for the streamer, but it seems like he is off to a strong start.
