Not to look a turntable in the mouth, Activision will be releasing a sequel to the acclaimed DJ simulation game, DJ Hero. Not surprising, but I enjoyed the first game from the little I played of it. And actually, there will be a very interesting surprise for one lucky wannabe producer. Activision says:
“2010 DJ Hero will be hosting an exclusive Listening Session, providing one lucky undiscovered musician the priceless opportunity to have their winning song mixed, mastered and featured in a future installment of DJ Hero.”
Could that lucky person be you? Will your sick-with-it music skills be picked up and performed by thousands of wannabe DJs? I haven’t had extensive hands-on time with DJ Hero, mostly because I know no friends who actually purchased the game, but from the few times I managed to demo it at a kiosk, the gameplay did seem easy to adapt to and when I got the hang of it, it was pretty fun. All the same, I will stick to my fake Rock Band talents.
What do you want changed from the first game? Added?
DJ Hero 2 has no impending release date as of yet.

This, unfortunately, was inevitable.
I'm still waiting for Violen Hero: Yo-Yo Ma.
Activision is really only going for a lot of sure-shot money-making game opportunities. It just so happens now that they're putting out a lot of the unusual peripheral ones now. No, I don't think having peripherals that emulate a rock and roll band setup is unusual, but a turntable and skateboard? Dude…c'mon.
