The much buzzed about revamp of Disney Infinity is only a month away now and the focus of the "2.0 edition" has been placed on Disney's most lucrative acquisition in recent years: Marvel Entertainment. When Disney Infinity was first unveiled, it was more than obvious that fans would eventually have the chance to play with characters and figures from the Marvel Universe and that begins September 23rd.

But it isn't just about Marvel's heroes and building off the buzz of this month's successful release of Guardians of the Galaxy in movie theaters worldwide. Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) is bringing with it an overall upgrade. All characters now have customizable skill trees and access to the new sorts of vehicles. The spark collection part of the game has been expanded and is now more user-friendly, giving in-game prices to unlock goods for the toy box.

The latest Disney Infinity 2.0 trailer up top is all about the new Toy Box, which might be the biggest source of improvements for the whole Disney Infinity experience. Players can quickly build out new worlds with the help of builders who can be placed all over the map to construct pre-defined sets of objects, from trees to massive skyscrapers. You can also get more detail oriented in building the interiors of structures as well which will blow out the community creation and sharing element of the game.

Just announced yesterday was another starter pack for Disney Infinity 2.0 which comes out later this year for the fans who are looking for something non-Marvel for their 2.0 fix. It's called the  Toy Box Starter kit and comes with the game along with Merida and Stitch Disney Originals figures, two Disney Originals Toy Box Game Discs — Stitch’s Tropical Rescue and Brave Forest Siege, a web code card, and a poster.

That Disney Originals starter pack doesn't release until November 4, 2014 so it'll be a few months after Marvel kicks it off in just a few weeks.
