  1. I think I feel the same way, like most gamers know its about the story/ experience that the game offers you not just the flashy new tech

    • Damn… My friend just showed me the recently leaked information of the Playstation 4 and Xbox

720 and I must say, I was completely amazed. I didn’t think this info would be released for quite

a while, but it’s managed to find its way onto the Internet, luckily!

If you guys want to check out the PS4 and Xbox 720 for yourselves, here’s the site I saw them on:

  2. “Game Awards Are Too Subjective”

-”The Game Developers Choice Awards has a nice set of categories to go by and this year’s nominees look like great choices. There are not genre categories, but rather for innovation, with more technical awards.”

My thoughts exactly. It seems like only the most popular or ‘hot’ would get any recognition..

“Creativity Hasn’t Been Lost on Old Franchises”

-I’m still slightly disappointed that none of the Gamerant staff is anticipating Max Payne 3 since it wasn’t included on the 25 list…

    “Guns or the Ammo”

    - Well said. I think there is still enough life left in our current Gen systems. We could all wait a little longer…

    • For the record, many of the GR staff are anticipating Max Payne 3. Of the 7 involved with the most anticipated selection, 2 of us (including me) had it in our top lists and several of the other staff (there are 18 of us in total) are also very excited about it.

No matter what, games get left out, especially when there are 100+ coming out in a year.

  3. Speak for yourself on waiting a little longer, I can’t wait for the next console generation. Hell I will take out a loan right now if the next and shiny new console cames out this year. My 360 is old and it’s time to get a upgrade and play the new and better future of games rather then push something old and outdated.

    • Current games aren’t “old and outdated”. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is great, the stories are compelling (well, not all of them). What new things could the future console’s games possibly have to offer? A new console isn’t needed. How could the next console be any different be any different from the current ones? They already have everything they need. There’s virtually no room for improvement.

      • except graphics and processor power which will allow everything to step up a notch or two, as it is bf3 just scrapes by on the 360 and looks average on both units, so again new tech equals better looking game with more fluent gameplay (we shouldn’t even have any frame rate issues as the processors will be able to push 60fps regardless).

but i wouldn’t push for a new gen just yet, b/c like you said these babies still have juice left in them, i would wait another yr or so before announcing a new line of garbage, then release a yr or so AFTER announcement.

  4. as long as they allow me to transfer all my saves, downloaded stuff (like DLC) and profiles i don’t really mind them releasing the next gen of consoles, b/c i wont be getting them straight of the bat, i never do, i always wait a yr or so until prices drop and they release at least one major firmware update prior to purchasing.
take a look at the 360 when it 1st came out, the RRoD was occurring on almost all units, and micro$oft was forced to replace all those units, i would much rather wait an extra yr for them to properly refine the OS then to get the unit early and experience garbage that might corrupt my profile, game saves or worse, expose both myself and my data for hacking by low lives (anonymous doesn’t count b/c they’re funny).

  5. I am just waiting for the diablo 3 game do you have any inside news my friends
