Europe Will Get ‘Deus Ex: Human Revolution’ Collector’s Edition

Deus Ex Human Revolution European Collectors Edition

The future-centric Deus Ex: Human Revolution is going to get another edition upon release, except this one will be limited to the audience in Europe. Square Enix has previously announced the Deus Ex Augmented Edition for American audiences, and when the two are compared, there is very little difference.

For reasons unknown, the European Collector’s Edition will contain the same bonuses we here in America will be getting, with the exception that Europe will be getting an awesome Adam Jensen action figure as part of the package. Deus Ex: Human Revolution fans can begin their collective sigh of frustration now.

The Deus Ex: Human Revolution Collector’s Edition will contain:

Highly Explosive Mission Pack: An entirely new mission with a special cameo appearance from one of
the original Deus Ex.

Exclusive  in-game  weapons:  Automatic  Unlocking  Device,  M-28  Utility  Remote-Detonated
Explosive  Device  (UR-DED),  Linebacker  G-87  multiple  shot  grenade  launcher,  Huntsman
Silverback Double Barrel Shotgun, Longsword Whisperhead silenced sniper rifle.

10,000 extra credits to buy or upgrade weapons

DVD  featuring  a  44-minute  “making  of”  special,  30-minute game  soundtrack,  motion-comic (adapted from DC Comics’ official series)

40-page art book

For a more visual interpretation of what you’ll be getting, check out the gallery, complete with that sweet Adam Jensen action figure in cool poses.

As you can see, there is nothing really different from the pre-order bonuses that will be present here in the States when the game releases. The only real exception is that European audiences will be able to just buy the Collector’s Edition in the store without having to pre-order. That and the action figure, which is enough to make anyone jealous.

Square Enix has started to crank up awareness for their action-RPG. The latest Deus Ex trailer, showcasing the different approaches that can be undertaken on a mission, promises tons of re-playability for fans of the stealth or action genre.

Don’t forget to check out our own coverage of Deus Ex in the form of a preview from PAX East 2011 and an interview with art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution releases on August 23, 2011, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

  1. i’ve pre-ordered augment edition and the inclusion of the figure doesn’t really bother me, it would be cool to have the jensen figure but it’s not like i’ll die or miss out on some in-game content without it so meh.
